No Arrow or Morgan? I wish you would do that. It'll be so sweet.
    -JDP

Couple or reasons why I decided not to do a Morgan/Arrow Coaster:

    1. I need something to eat up peeps....what I mean is, my park is starting to become very crowded, and a B&M Hyper due to its capacity (36 per train, three trains) would be able to queue about 500 peeps and still have a wait less than 20 minutes, which is a plus....the more people in the queue the less crowded it is on the midway. La Salsa's queue is full, and Ryu and Pale Rider are filling fast. I need a peep eater.

    2. A portion of the coaster's layout is very twisted, which wouldnt work with a morgan/arrow. It also takes turns and banked drops at high speeds, which would probably be too intense for an Arrow/Morgan.

    3. I just love how it rides as a Beemer, its very smooth and the pacing is good.

The only ride i could probably substitute this with is an Intamin due to the rides intensity, but I feel there are lots of Intamin hypers.

Ill show you a teaster screen of the ride soon.

How far are you in this project? Seems to be pretty fast... everything looks awesome

Im finishing up the Japanese area, so once thats done itll be 50% in terms of finished areas.

    Raiden

Finally opened Raiden to the peeps to some awfully hilarious and funny results. First off, I mentioned that I needed a peep eater....haahaa, well Raiden's queue line currently houses 650 people. Yes, 650 fucking people. Its ridiculous, once I clicked open its like it all dawned on the peeps "Oh SHIT Raiden is open time to run over there!" Its funny, Ryu is completely empty now that Raiden opened, and the park looks almost empty in spots not in the Japanese area. Anyways, the screenshot shows just how full the queue is.

Raiden (Japanese God of Thunder) is a B&M Hyper coaster, and one that is heavily terrain influenced. The lift stands about 175 ft off the ground, but the drop is about 200 ft, thus officially making it a hyper coaster. Raiden's signature element is probably its very intense 540 degree helix. Another is its double-dip element after the mid-course run...those two elements will be the next screens I show. Raiden's statlines (unthemed stats) so far:

    EXC: 9.54
    INT: 8.34
    NAU: 5.10

    Height: 175 ft
    Speed: 83 mph
    Length: 5900 ft

Anyways, here is a screen of the station and queue area, which is built into a hillside adjacent to a new river rapids attraction ive yet to finish.

For me, this whole Japanese area is a little too intense - too much going on, too many details, etc. I wouldn't mention it if you weren't going for realism, but I have because I don't think any park in real life would go for this level of themeing. Also I'm not a huge fan of the blue trees, but they certainly liven things up. Like how all the peeps have bought hats! But you may want to shorten the queue line - I'm pretty sure you'll find the peeps complaining that they've been queueing for too long as it is...
  • posix%s's Photo
    yeah, i agree.
fatha's last three works have all been way too packed for me.
  • rheathy%s's Photo
How many peeps are in that queue and what is the queue time?
  • Carl%s's Photo
Woah, those purple trees are just "out there"
Having 2 B&Ms in the same area of the park is rare but SFGAdv does it with BTR and Nitro so its ok in my book.
Your Asian style of archy is just perfect IMO, especially the way you are using those wood poles.

I don't like the white railings on the queue line, and the coloured trees don't work for me..
The queue line looks too long too, creating too long waiting times for your guests which isn't helping the park raiting I think..
    I like the flowers though..

I think this is the best screen you've shown, not sure why so many people don't really like it. For me, those purple trees are gorgeous, they really add some sparkle to the screen. The level of busyness is good as well for me, a Japanese area should be busy. The only thing that might be a problem is that a Japanese GARDEN wouldn't be very busy at all, quite serene infact, but then it still looks amazing.

^ Still, it looks like the park rating is capped @ max. lol.....

The station is definitely nice, but I noticed that one lantern isn't yellow? It looks to be brown still.

I like pretty much everything about this park, the queue especially in the last screen.
  • Marshy%s's Photo
Its a wondeful screen, its just so colourful and attractive. A lot different than other screens you see too because of the full queue of people, and the colourful trees.

This is just one of those parks that i can't wait to see in action in-game.

That is the coolest asian place in the world. Maybe a little overwhelming and crowded looking, but that just makes it cooler. Japan is crowded anyway.

the colored foliage is so fucking gorgeous. This project is so fresh and exciting. Makes me want to play the scenarios again.

this is a theme park. the japanese garden is fake and intended to appeal as if it was real. so it only makes sense to be busy.
semi-realism is a disease. get it out of your head, jem :p

You guys thinks that screen is crowded? How on earth is that screen crowded? Think about it. The screen has two large buildings, separated by 4 tiles to create a small courtyard. Other than these two buildings, the screen consist of mostly landscaping and gardens. Sorry, its not really crowded...perhaps the people in the queue (with multicolored clothing and such) give this illusion, but this part of the park is anything by crowded.

    >Six Frags
The queue line really is not that long....have you been to Dueling Dragons queue line? Or any Batman The Ride one? The Hulk's queue? All are long and the waits are decent, as it should be for a brand new ride. In the game, the wait is about 14 minutes right now (Queue is about 70% full), so thats not really bad....some of my flatrides have queues of 15+ minutes. This coaster's capacity make the queue go by pretty quick. Plus, I have entertainers in the queue to keep the people happy. The park rating is fine, it oscillates between 950 and 999.

    >Turtle
Like posix said, can't make it tooo serene looking...it is a theme park and has to have some excitement to it. For this area i just try to find the medium between the two.
  • ][ntamin22%s's Photo
    it's not the queue people-
its the fact that everything is bright and jumps at you. it's very hard to focus on any single thing in that screen (and the other Japanese area ones) because it's packed to the gills with objects that are similarly and brightly colored.the landscaping DOES crowd the screen, because it's all red and green ( trees excluded [ like the blue trees, btw] ), and so is everything else.
  • Fatha'%s's Photo
    ^Not trying to bash people.
I wont argue brightness, its a matter of opinion. Point is, I made this area how it is so things can jump out at you (like the trees) and can immediately tell you what kind of atmosphere is going on....I also designate certain colors of trees in regards to the important of the location (For example, the purple trees outline a small shrine, which happens to be theming for the coaster and the queue). So the fact that things in the screen jump out at you please me, regardless of whether you like the coloring. And I also don't really buy the fact that you can't focus on one single thing in this screen....In fact, I find it hard not to focus on that giant building that houses the station (again, im looking at this from a persons perspective in the park). It dominates the screen, not the trees....at least in my opinion.
  • Turtle%s's Photo
Fatha, I wasn't saying that you should make it more serene. I love it as it is. Just maybe it shouldn't really be called a Japanese Garden area? To be honest, it's not that big a deal, and 99% of guests aren't going to care anyway. Keep going.

Oh by the way, you inspired me to try the same thing, i've just started a scenario after not playing for nearly a year.. :D
  • deanosrs%s's Photo
Haha, I'm trying a similar thing as well, although my main focus is on creating a nice park I'm also keen to make mine peepable and profitable.

Nice to hear you're playing again Jem, maybe this is starting a "scenario revolution"!

As for the crowdedness issue, Intamin pretty much summed up my thoughts himself. If that last screen was as it was, but every object "stretched out" over maybe twice the area, that would look better to me. Also since you're going for realism, I think, I wanted to point out that no park would invest in this much themeing in real life.

However, you shouldn't take it as me saying the park is bad. Really, I think it's a great park and how you're making it is a fantastic idea. Obviously, it is exactly how you want it to be and I wouldn't expect or want you to change it because of my preference. That's for me to create in my parks!

It's great that this park is moving so quickly as well. RCT projects tend to do that when you're building on a concept that you are enthusiastic about.

Those are all great point except for the first one. Morgan hypers always have 6 cars per train which equal up to 36 in the train as well. But you already made the beemer so that works for me. :)
