Hey, have an idea. Why dont you guys pick the themed areas Im gonna do. So far I have Mexico (the entrance) and I have a Japanese Garden town, Ill prolly have room for 3 or 4 more areas (4 if I make them smaller).

I have an idea for a "Roarin 20's" Boardwalk along the lake with a possible recreation of the Crystal Beach Cyclone.

But anyway, give some suggestions. Also make them realistic areas (Like dont tell me to do a planet outpost village on Pluto).

Gold Rush themed area. I know western themes are fairly common but I think it would work here rather well. A quaint old European hamlet would be pretty sweet too.

    New Ride Announced

    Pale Rider (Wooden Out-n-Back Hybrid):
    Height: 115 ft
    Length: 4900 ft
    Speed: 58 mph
    Location: Fesitvale Mexico
    Theme: Ghost Rider

    Description of the coaster:
Well, a tester dubbed it the "Best woodie ever," and its very uniquely laid out. The coaster has tons of air time, and gets retains its speed as the layour progesses. The coaster also feateres only to portions of the ride that contain banked track, as most of the turns are unbanked and provide intense laterals (since the turns are taken at high speeds). Its one of the more intense wooden experiences Ive made. The ride is themed to a ghost viligante who rides a horse. It is also one of the few long-layout coasters in the park that is not terrain driven.

Im not lieing, me and X250 have been planning on making that, we call it "Pluto 2850" ;)

    Theme ideas... hum...

    - Something with ice, maybe an expedition to Antarctica or something...
    - I don't think I have ever seen a good enough Moroccan theme, maybe try that...
    - Sportscenter, a big ESPN sports complex, would be cool...

I'd like to see you do medieval theme :)

I really like the way the light changes in the windows over Sun Wheel. Looks really cool. Also, there are a lot of nice touches (like all the lattice) which make it crowded... but only from the angle we see it. Would be awesome from a peep's perspective. I am loving your projects, Fatha'!

I have an idea for a "Roarin 20's" Boardwalk along the lake with a possible recreation of the Crystal Beach Cyclone.

I was seriously thinking about making a park that featured a roaring 20's boardwalk. It was going to feature the Cyclone made by Church in 1925 at Revere Beach. I still have thoughts about it though. Lets hope that your Crystal Beach Cyclone don't hurt the hell out of your peeps. :-D

As for the hybird. I just got done making one of those in my SAP&R park. So by the looks of things fatha'... I like the way you think. :)

For you themeing your park. I suggest to keep realistic themes for the parks sake. However it is your park so do as you please. I do suggest a jungle theme that holds one beasty coaster... hmmm. Anyway, good shit.

^Just made the CBC in the coaster editor....its not picture perfect (the last portion of the layout is not totally accurate but follows the idea)....stats are fine and it rides well...not as intense in RCT as I thought it would be. Had like an intensity of 8.8 or something.

I was thinking of the jungle theme, problem is however that i need to watch the sprite limit because since this is peepable i wont be able to make every section have uber detail, and a jungle one would need mad mad detail.

Oh and as for the hybrid thing, I think I might have described Pale Rider wrong....its unique for a Fatha woodie so I couldnt quite explain it....think Coney Island Cyclone with a mix of Texas Giant.

Looks great, i love the treeing throughout this park, it adds so much to the screens. I think it's great that you're still using some LL techniques (path on rooves), and to be honest, it looks awesome in RCT2, i think more people should do it.

that lightning(?) looks so great, nice fountain too. I agree about the treeing , the trees used in that screen give the area an autumn-y feel. The only thing im not keen on is the yellowy flowers to the left of the pink building.

This screen is looking very nice, my favorite. Maybe you should try to remove that ghost tree by placing the same kind of tree in the same place...
  • Fatha'%s's Photo
Yes Marshy it is lightning, and it appears on portions of the coaster as theming (After first drop, and midway through the layout). The colorable trees are cool, problem is when you zero clearance them they go ghost INSTANTLY, which is quite annoying and sometimes when you drag them over other trees it turns them into ghost trees. ive been trying to fix it but it just keeps turning other trees into ghost ones. One time when fixing it, i went from that one ghost tree to have 5. So i said fuck it.

But anyways yea the trees are cool cuz the color changes give u options....wait till u see them in the Japanese area.
