Ask the Experts / How to open this file:app octet-stream

After a long search for a park someone finally sent me a file but i have no way of opening it.
Its a saved game file sv6. It came to me as an"application/octet-stream of 7242.78kb"
Anyone have a clue how to open this or what program was used to send it. The person that emailed it to me is french, and my french is about as good as my japanese. Any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Thanking you all in advance Disneylanddude

you know for sure you saved the attatchment in the right way ?

I don't think there is anything wrong, just download the file and open it in RCT.
("application/octet-stream" is the default MIME type, which would be correct in this case as there won't be one specifically for RCT save games)

Ok a computer idiot am I. Ive downloaded it and saved it to my desktop, but when i try to load it all i get is the opening for the game and then the regular load/save screen for tycoon 2. Ive also tried to open it right from the download into the game but same thing nothing happens...Is there a way to convert the file, or maybe some kind of helper program...Help its for disneyland paris from disneyland forever.com posted a couple of years back. and i finally got a saved game for it HELP ME im disneylandcrazed at this point...Thanks again for all who have responded.
