I honestly can not belive how many people are bitching over Xin getting a spot. Who really gives a flying fuck. If he ends up in dead last then who cares. Give the kid a shot and everone just shut the hell up. I honestly hope to god he pulls something out of his ass to shut all you talkers up and if it means beating me in the PT3, then so be it!

I wasn't saying these guys shouldn't be in. I really apreciate what they did, infact it was way more then a prelim entry would have been.

I have a question. If somebody gets Design now (As in after the Prelims), would they be let into the PT3? Or not?

Regarding the whole argument about who gets into the PT3 / who doesnt:
[rant]The bottom line is that the number of entries dropped last year compared to the first year. And in order to prevent that from happening again, Kumba came up with new ideas to get more entries, which IMO was his only option when faced with the facts of the situation. He had a problem, and he did something about it - like a good NE admin would. This PT would have been even worse than the complainers are saying it is now if Kumba hadnt done what he did.[/end rant]

Yeah, I've been thinking about that too..
I think I made the mistake to see this contest still run by iris.. Iris had a different way of leading this website in comparison to Kumba.. I like the way NE is run these days though; Kumba seems to initiate a lot of RCT activity with his actions, something I've always applauded and something that bothered me about the 'iris-age'... He really knows how to do that, what can be seen in the high number of RCT releases the last couple of months... I mean 2 spotlights, 2 SRU's, over a dozen designs, multiple RU's, all those prelims, updated Parkmaker pages and H2H4... Activity is higher than it ever was imo ... And there are a lot of nice releases coming too; Some solo parks, the PT..
So, I don't know if I enter, simply because I'm really short on RCT time these days, I also like to work on my solo's and I just don't have an spectacular idea yet.. I have some direction of what I think could work, but don't know if I can pull it off...

How does the judging system work?

well with the first two Pro-Tours a panel of judges reviewd each park and scored on a number of categories. i would assume that is how this PT will work. only question is who these judges would be.

Prelim Rules:

- Only Non-NE Parkmakers may enter the prelims for a shot at making the finals where the NE Parkmakers can play. If you have won an NE accolade you are already in and if you enter a perlim your entry will be posted, but unofficial.
- You provide your own bench
- You can hack, use custom scenery, dimport, have your name in the park, whatever, just turn it in on time!
- Each entry must be a solo. You can't have help from another parkmaker.
- No RCT2 WW and TT.
- No RCT3.
- These are the different per round objectives:

Best Zoo Exhibit - April 28th
Best Mine Train - May 5th
Funniest Entry - May 12th

The Due dates are each 11:59 PM PST. Late entries may be rejected.

Solo NE Design, Runner-Up, Super Runner-Up and Spotlight exemption

If you win one of these and are a Non-NE Parkmaker during the course of the prelims you will receive an invite into the finals vs. the NE Parkmakers and Prelim winners.

The Bonus Spot

An extra invite to the tour will be given out to the parkmaker who made the best effort in the prelims. This will be decided by a public poll this year to try and avoid some past controversy.

The Judge

Kumba will be independently judging the prelim round to make sure things go quickly and the process is not overly complex. Don't worry, for the finals there will be 5-6 judges and I might not even be one of them

Is that just one exhibit or can it be a variety of different ones?
