Well, I actually added the TT scenery that I wanted. Nin did mention that few people own more than base RCT2... But I decided to do it anyway. If someone truly can't get enough out of my less-than-landmark work from a screenshot... They will probably be willing to pay the 10$ for the Triple Thrill pack. Or so goes my line of thinking haha.
Anyway, I developed the area a bit more. (The previous screen is to the right of this.)

i see where you're coming from, but i think you ought to consider the fact that many of us have been around here for many, many years and the points we make are usually in everyones best interest. just something to consider. -

I understand you guys are just trying to be helpful. I am just opting to be stubborn here; I really like how that little area looks and I would rather not lose it. -

SSSlammy is absolutely correct. Plus, there's a reason that the majority of us don't have TT/WW installed. I'm pretty sure that most of us have the expansions...we just opt to not use them. And again, there's a reason that we make that choice.i see where you're coming from, but i think you ought to consider the fact that many of us have been around here for many, many years and the points we make are usually in everyones best interest. just something to consider.
Trust me, if you want people here to view your work...you'll have a much better chance if you heed the advice given than to hope anyone will install the expansions to do so. Let alone go out and purchase them. -

Yea, I'm not so sure about that. Not to bash your work, but I recall a park back in the day.. Six Flags Worlds of Excitement perhaps? For its time the park was stunning and very impressive and really looked forward to viewing it. Well it turned out to be WW/TT and I still have not viewed it to this day. I believe the park was by Phatage? But yea, like most other users have said. Your definitely not going to get as much feedback if you use WW/TT... Besides, I believe you can find almost all the scenary from those games converted for RCT2 without needing the expansions (including rides/shops/coasters). I think it's rctdb that has alot of them. -

WoE was WW/TT free I believe. A lot of WW scenery has been converted, but that doesn't really fly for TT as most of the people who bought WW probably wouldn't have bought TT as for the disaster that was WW. I Personally converted some WW scenery as I made some parks WW/TT free for some people (Iceman's two disneys & a park of emergo) and EGAS as well. But a lot of it hasn't been converted as most of it is utter crap. Only reason I installed WW again a while ago is because I wanted to view Meretrix's Disney Tilted Acres (and that one is a b**** to get opened regardless of the WW drama)
That said seriously don't use WW and or TT. There are some great pick-up-and-go workbenches out there that are a 1000 times better. -

^ Yea, I know the park I'm talking about was WW/TT then someone converted it to RCT2 but can not manage to find the converted one. The only one uploaded here is the WW/TT. It may be the Paramount park I'm thinking of...
Yea, Paramount's Xtreme -

Use whatever you feel comfortable using. At the end of the day, you play the game for fun and if you want to build using that scenery, then build using that scenery. I think the fact most people here are saying don't use it and use the conventional scenery so people can view it shows that they're not really playing the game for fun but rather for the merit that comes with it from, let's be fair, a handful of guys who are playing a 10 year old game way too seriously. -

LOL I couldn't agree more ^
Let's not force some meaningless technical norm on everyone.
It can be fun to watch a WW/TT project, even when never being
able to open it ingame. -

It matters greatly for what reasons you play the game. If it's just and only fun, then sure you don't have to worry about your toolset. If you are new to the game some limits might even be a little better. However, most of us here, next to the fun are into design. When it comes to design, there are different routes you can take. The better the toolset the better the end result 'can' be. My main gripe with WW/TT is that most stuff is way to predefined and unflexible. Projects using that stuff usually don't have much design going in them, because I'm purely looking at the predetermined look from the game's creators and not really of the person who made the park. Besides, the added stuff doesn't fit in with the original game to begin with, which is logical as they were made by a different company. As a result I rarely enjoy these parks.
Proper design gives myself satisfaction and enjoyment to see my own work turn out great. However I find the opinion of people about very interesting also. That's just the nature of creating stuff; measuring it against some 'rules'/'expectations'. That's why I always liked this site so much, not too much care-bearing but getting straight to the point feedback. If show an amazing screen you get the appreciation. If you show crap then expect that it isn't liked, but aleast get some feedback what you could do to improve it.
You might considering this is a bit serious about a 10 year old game, but for me it has been way more than just a game. A lot of members here eventually ended up doing something design related study/work (including myself). That's the beauty of creative games, you can actuall learn something from it in practical skills/cognition. Design is only learned/improved by practice.
For what reasons he plays the game for is his choice. I'm not forcing anyone to play the game my way, but I do give advise and whatever you do with it is your own decision (prettty much the same way I handle critisism). -

You can give feedback, but there's no reason to force someone to stop using TT/WW when he clearly said he wants to.
EDIT:
You might not believe it, but this grass on the bottom of the pic took much effort to construct. How does it look?

tyandor, nice post.
It's true that too many objects of WWTT are extremly "predefined", as you say, and it's annoying. Yet I do feel as though equally there are a couple of quite flexible objects, too, whose potential has never really been explorer and I'd be excited to do or see that.
I also agree with you that objects are pretty segmented and in their own little groups. I guess that lies in the nature of how the object menu is designed. I think it's very possible to find inter-group combinations that can look just great though, so I wouldn't say the diversity is a big problem. -

have you tried that with the mini/junior coaster instead of the schwarzkopf track? You can give feedback, but there's no reason to force someone to stop using TT/WW when he clearly said he wants to.
