I remember when we finally got that 4MB extra memory in our 486 25MHz (our inkjet printer wouldn't print in Windows 3.1 without it) which meant I could finally play that game. Before that we had not enough memory because of the game requiring a mouse and de mouse taking up too much memory... Damn I feel old now
Really wish they would make a proper SimCity 5 instead of that the Sims crap (although 3000 en 4 were pretty decent too).

I only got to play the demo. After a ouhr or so the city flooded But anyhow I played it for ouhrs

I'm expecting some criticism for this, but oh well haha. I randomly decided to play zoo tycoon again, and discovered tons of downloads and such for it. While I still think this game sucks horribly compared to RCT on an architectural/design level, I thought it was pretty cool that you could make buildings now. Maybe I'm a bit late, but i've been having some fun with this over the past few days haha.

Zoo tycoon was the game i played before i discoverd locomotion and then rct. That was a good few years ago I also had the expansions of zt with the dinosaurs ... It was a brilliant game. I wont criticise you for posting this because it brings back the memories of the good old days Thanks for the memories

I only posted it here because the vast majority of the Zoo Tycoon boards are filled with ridiculously annoying members. I've always felt a part of this community and knew I would at least get some good opinions on it.
But I am yet once again proved wrong by the master

I think Kumba is right that it's too much work to model a complete town yourself, but simcity is a bad example compared to rct2. A game which is more comparable to rct2 in my opinion is cityville. Free placement of buildings and decorations, funny peeps walking around, nice graphic style (32-bit) in a scale large enough that it doesn't hurt your eyes. (no screenshot this time )

I always thought it would be an interesting game if they some how combined rct with zoo tycoon. Am i the only one who thinks that?

I agree with JDP. I like NE's oldschool RCT focus. I think this dedication gives the site character. If you want other games, why not just go to other sites that focus on these games?

IMO screens from other games belong in the Games and Polls section. Why not start a topic there?

Oh wow, that's quite nice, S_F. My one main suggestion would be to give the roof an actual texture and use tiled roofs or shingles to make it more roof-like. Can't wait to see how the foliage will turn out.
