this is still the 'portal' project right? I admire the idea and the creativity, but I gotta admit... it is very dull. I struggle to find any atmosphere at all. as well as the execution may be, I just can't 'feel' it. it just doesn't look good. the look isn't on par to the idea. I'm not too familiar with the game, so if the look in that screen is dead on, excuse me.

I just think the applause is more for the execution and not the 'feel' of the screen.

You could "actively build the shit out of things" all you want, but as for me not building in RCT, any idea how "much of an assumption" that is? Of course not. Not all people who have been building things feel as compelled as you to show them without expecting some criticism, so if you're building something and don't want any, don't show it off. Then you go "justify" your use of language that made you sound like a conceited braggart but then go ahead and dig yourself deeper with that gem quoted above.

I really don't care about your run-of-the-mill layout and don't care if you improve it any, your attitude is just disgusting and you need to get that into your head. It doesn't take a "has-been" to see that your brake run is anything but "hyper-realistic".

I can understand some of the dullness on the interiors. again, correct me if I'm wrong, but the outside looks rather dull compared to this screen. the foliage seems more overgrown tropical, and messy for lack of a better word right now. is this a certain part of the game or maybe a part you haven't shown yet? it is an interesting idea for a project but for me, it cries for more atmosphere.

That must in fact be from Portal 2 which isnt out yet. There is no outside in Portal 1. I cant say i've seen much on Portal 2 so far.

The most you get outside in Portal 1 is some of the hidden rooms and near the end of the game





Pretty much the whole thing is set in the white and black labs.

However i do like the overgrown look. could be hard to pull off in LL though
