Looks better Luketh. I kinda dislike the roof vents though, however realistic they may be.Edited by Hepta, 05 September 2009 - 01:55 PM.

Yeah...the duct work. If you're going to try to be elaborate with it, you have to get WAY more detailed. I know what you're shooting for but, you need to start ZCing a bunch of details into that for it to be effective. -

So... I was bored today and decided to give my first try at LL. This is a traditional park, and part of the main entry street/plaza.
I would love some comments on this considering it's my first try, and I hope to improve. Oh, and the buildings on the right are slightly unfinished, like missing windows or roof details, but you get the gist...

Anyone who really knows me, knows this has been an idea of mine for a few years now. As soon as I get 8cars working with vista, or an older version I guess, I can really get started on this park. But for now I can show you a piece of concept art for one of the park's coasters.
This is actaully two different drawings merged into one. I was suprised at how well they matched up! And after seeing them together theres a few things I'll change once it reaches the park.
I have a notebook full of drawings and ideas for this park, so I feel pretty confident about finally getting started on this.

that's some nice LL. I don't think I've really seen traditional style in LL like you have in your RCT2. You make good use of all the textures available, just don't overdo it to where it gets crowded/crazy. Looks good so far, keep it up.
Nice picture CH. Hope it ends up looking as good as your drawing. Diving Machine?
edit: nevermind it says it in the pictureEdited by spartan, 05 September 2009 - 10:44 PM.

nice first attempt at LL... really pleasant stuff you have there.... think about adding some height variation though, not only in landscaping but from building to building as well... so one end of the the street could be a tile or two lower than the other (or perhaps some buildings will have stairs leading to a basement level area or something). It'll add more depth and character to your LL stuff if you plan to do any more (please do some more!). right now it just seems a little flat but other than that it's a great start -

robbie, it's interesting how your style translates into ll. i like the screen, though i think you're overdoing it with trackitecture, fences and banners. you can tell you were bored when making this as it's pretty undefined and missing a direction it goes to. you're also missing a texture under the paths btw. maybe you'd want to try something with a lower detail level once? you seem to always put endless amounts of objects on your buildings in rct2. then in ll, you tried the same but the same objects aren't there so you ended up with something kinda forced.
chillerhockey, that is one wonderful drawing. i wish i could do these like that myself. -

Robbie, great work. Really feeling it.
Nin, the first screen with the building. It's boring. It's the fact that it's one long building in the same style all the way along with the same details etc. But the second is great, as usual.
Stanman, I've already seen it and it's awesome. I love it. -

SSSammy, I can't say I like it. It looks like it could use some more details; the buildings just look a bit too boring. Also, not too sure about the rightmost building with the cream path. Just looks really weird. -

SSSammy, the glass windows remind me of my school but they look great here. Work on your colourschemes.
