Entrances are always hard to design. I think you did a good job with this one, minus the red spires. -

Liampie I agree. It's very good but why have you added them? What theme are you going for? -

Thanks for the comments guys.
J K - I'm sort of going for a "tradition" or "retro" American sort of theme, minus the red, white and blue. It's meant to be upbeat and get people excited as they enter the park.
As for the spire's. I had them in the bench for a medieval theme I plan on doing and I just thought that they fit it really well, and I couldn't seem to find anything better. -

holey moley, jag kid, get rid of those rocks, and visit a disney park or look up pictures, because right now all your buildings are blocks. also ,you should listen to the comments giving to you by the more experienced players, considering they are better then you and trying to help YOU to become better. dont be ignorant. thats all.
rip: every picture i see of soar i fall more in love with it! i dont see hwtas wrong witht the grey supports? are you planning to send this in for design or is it park of a larger project?
if I can't use jagged rocks, how else will I build mountains, I won't use them anymore, but it is hard to build mountains without them. Alot of the older members like using jagged rocks but if it will prevent me from getting an accolade, I won't use it. About the buildins though, in real life, disney doesn't decorate the backs and they generall are boxy for mantience reasons. People say to look at parks for inspiration, and most of the older ones use jagged rocks. We all have different opinions, when I looked at the spotlights, they all have jagged rocks. I won't use them anymore, but how will I build Thunder Mountain Railroad, The only rock scenery I have is the snowy matterhorn walls. -

mountain tool, that builds mountains. end of story.
.......and if (any) spotlights use them, its because they are talented enough to do so. and you should be playing for fun, not achievement.
on a side note i really like the entrqnce, and i find the spires give it a unique touch, i would keep them.Edited by Lowenaldo, 25 August 2009 - 02:54 PM.

you shouldn't aim for a spotlight, you should aim for a sense of self improvement. and that means you need to listen to the wise RCT legends that are kind enough to help you out and stop attempting to mimic certain spotlight's uses of jagged rocks. -

While it's pleasant. Its just that, and I mean that's it. Like 2 seconds view time there, where as a screen that size shouldn't have me feel like I've seen it all in 2 seconds... -

I think red is winning. I hope it doesn't race like that. But it looks pleasant like JJ said. -

There's more to using jagged rocks than pulling up land randomly. Make it flow. If a section is sloping in a direction at the edge of a tile, let the next tile be sloping the same way. They don't necessarily have to match heights, but they should, in most cases, slope the same way.if I can't use jagged rocks, how else will I build mountains, I won't use them anymore, but it is hard to build mountains without them. I couldn't agree with you more man. Look at how Maverix pulled off the jagged rocks in Hammerhead.
