In my opinion this style of building just doesn't go with RCT3, but if you like it then keep going I guess.
  • Nokia%s's Photo
i would suggest dont make it.
  • FK+Coastermind%s's Photo
jusmith hit it on the nail IMO. RCT3, while slow with building, has so much potential as to what you can do, LL doesnt work in it. just like, when RCT2 came out, we had the ability to do so much more. LL only works in LL, because its the best you can do with what you have. the coaster is nice, but the buildings just dont work. if you want to do LL, stick with LL.

The supports are really nice particularly those footers.

    @posix: thanks!!

@FK+Coastermind, Jusmith: I guess you guys are correct. I really don't know where to go with this one. I'm saying goodbye to this project.

All the RCT2 screens above are sweet.

I guess it's for the best, but I did like many of the screens. The wooden coaster was especially top-notch.

    Boomerang from my new park.

Do any of you know how I can make my pictures smaller? They're huge for some reason.

I like the supports but other than that theres not much to see.

The only way i know you could get the picture smaller is to crop or resize it using some image editing program.

Also it would be better if you didn't take a picture when it was raining and you can hide the user interface when taking a pic by naming a guest david walsh.
  • Nokia%s's Photo
i use paint to edit everything.
  • MF72 %s's Photo
spartan: thanks. I took it while raining because I thought it would look cooler. Also, I know about the cheat. I just always forget to use it. lol

nokia: I would but I can't resize it. I don't have any sweet editing program. Just paint, and you can't resize it in paint.

When I get more done I might make a thread for it.

yeah, just take out the parts you dont want.

@ace:supports face the inside of the helix.

    Lolwut?

I've seen that maybe twice on real coasters. Both Morgan hypers. This is a Schwartzkopf.

Besides, it makes no sense to do it that way. The physics work, yes, but you're more likely to get stress fractures on the slanted beam that way. And there's no space issue.

Also, of course it's unfinished. Else it'd be in a topic, rather than the Dump-Place.

    It can go either way.

Either way, Schwarzkopf is more likely to use an A-beam (see MindBender & Shockwave) or just a straight beam. But still, I think it looks pretty good, even though I think the footer is far too intense for what you're doing. Still, I don't understand the mine train. Interested to see more.

Difference there is between a generic design and a ride designed specifically for that park. In the first, they have to use the internal bracing to reduce the footprint.

The mine train is supposed to be an abandoned rail spur -- something left over from before the park bought that land. But mostly it's there because it looks cool and means I can have something other than trees right there.
