Getting there.
What I would suggest is to start at the bottom and work your way up.
Have a look here:

You want a base support at the very bottom of the lift. This supports not only the track, but the chain motor support. From there, you have several evenly spaced support with the small square holding up the stairs in between. Only one per each space. Don't overdo supports. Note that Silver Bullet has 5 supporting the total lift from start the pre-drop. The anlged support partway up is your choice as shown here:

Also note the angled connections:

You don't want horizontals unless the ride is really huge and has supports that warrant it (on an invert, most likely never).
Hope that helps. -

Is it really necessary to post the fucking screen an hour later after a collective total of around thirty seconds of work since the last screen?
Theres nothing wrong with the ride I guess, looks realistic compared to the real pictures, but barely anything to see. At least its in the dump place for now. -

The support is connected directly to the track, i don't know how to explain it any better. -

Why does every train have to be the exact same length, chiller?
Most B&Ms have 8 cars per train. In fact, I think there is only a Batman clone in Spain that has 7 cars per train. Apart from that, they're all 8. -

A few smaller ones have been using 7 cars instead. Patriot for example. Another good example would be Chang stand-up, which is an almost clone of Mantis. From what I've read it makes for a much better ride than Mantis because of the train length. The only B&M's that use 9 cars are the hyper trains, unless you consider a zero-car a car, but it isn't, just the wheel assembly. On inverted coasters the front train is actually attached to the zero-car, the only exception to this is Alpengeist, and I think I've read that it is there for theming, but I could be wrong. -

louis, that's pretty. i love the station roofing but i'll have to agree with xophe, the track above the final brake and transfer device is rather confusing. i love the use of the kiddie coaster as transfer mechanism however. -

Wow that looks great!
The only thing I don't like is the custom path but that's not a big issue. -

Yeah I don't like the path either and maybe make some of the track red extending from the mouth so it looks like it's toungue.
Other than that the screen is excellent. -

xophe, zodiac & posix thanks.
this was 1 screen but i had to chop it into two.
yeah there are no details atm. and hopefully the transfer is now less confusing. -

Yeah i agree with dlh on this one... it looks very nice. However, I think intamin giga track would go better with that design. -

^ Yes, I was going to mention-- those supports are much more suited for Intamin. If you were going for B&M, I would suggest you remove all the crossbeams and about every other supports. However, the layout seems pretty good. -

I know most of you here don't like RCT 3, but...I had this idea to make a park in RCT 3 inspired by LL. I know it may not seem great at first, but I'm hoping this will turn into something great. Here's a little picture of a train station I'm working on. Just ask for more pics, I got some.
As I said, it is a train station. Sorry about the big grass area at the top.
Yes, I know it could be better, but some constructive criticism would be nice. You guys actually help unlike at Atari, where all they say is "OMG that is teh 4wesomest! 10/5 stars!!1!" So yeah, tell me what you think.Edited by Sternkrieg72, 20 July 2008 - 02:51 PM.

What's there right now doesn't look too bad, but you have to keep in mind that trackitecture works as well as it does in RCT and RCT2 due to the limited viewing angles. RCT3 has a much more realistic nature and I'd bet money that at another angle, the track roof wouldn't look so good. Since neither of my computers are good for playing RCT3, I can't offer too much constructive criticism, but maybe there's some sort of scenery you could use in combination with trackitecture that will help make it seem more realistic. From what I remember, there's some zero clearance cheat you could use for that purpose. Maybe you could slip some more wooden textures in along with the trackitecture. The thing you have to remember though, is that you never get as much helpful criticism when playing the game in a different manner and to a large extent, you're the one setting new standards for others to follow.
