    @ In:Cities : interesting screen

IC: By simply adding a path type with texture would do wonders for that area. Looks great otherwise.

Just a little something I've been working on lately. I know, that it isn't as good as anything else in this topic, but it's a start, i think. It isn't 100% finished, though.

    Robbie: Perfect.

In:Cities: I love it. The foliage really brings it together.

rob is that skyride von roll? the supports dont look von roll-ish
  • robbie92%s's Photo
I dunno, it's a skyride. I just made supports that look vaguely skyride-ish. Just wanted something similar to this: http://2.bp.blogspot...a_skyride-1.jpg

But nothing specific, though. I tend to care less about manufacturers the further the ride is from being a coaster.

Might release this one with scenery attached, so everyone can open it if they have the game installed.

Looks more like a past attempt at a modern building to me rather than a recent 'future' modern building. Still definitely not bad. Reminds me somewhat of the Shell Tower in Amsterdam with the yellowish glass.

It's more like 60's brutalist/modernist architecture. Futuristic at the time, but completely misunderstood now.
I love that kind of architecture.
I do notice a renewed interest for 60's architecture though. I even see some 60's revival appearing in Europe.

Wow this is great, my only suggestion is that maybe you can change the background to an urban theme or future theme.
And can you give me a link to your CS pack? I reinstalled my RCT3 recentlly and lost all my CS... :mantis:

Makes me think of a dark MDRDV.

IC: You've got a great combination of exquisite detail (chopper pads) and solid archy with no useless detail. I really like the way its going.

Coup: The colors are superb, can't wait to open this park in game. Easily your best work yet.

Rob: Looks great, its nice to see little experimentation like this

leo: I have no ability to judge rct3 screens. I've never played it, so I have no comprehension of the difficulty or intricacy of its use. From what I can see though it looks really neat.

I just don't get RCT3. Screens are adjusted post game to make them look good :/

I personally dislike that kind of architecture, but I do have an understanding for it. Misunderstanding is a phenomenon that's always present in architecture. The question is whether it affects the appreciation of it in a positive way or not. Brutalism however rarely gets that and I can get that, because it's hardly inviting as it's not very human. A small group will like it as it's something grand for the people who understand it as opposed to appeal to the masses. This is fine for art, but I find it a folly in architecture as architecture in the end is bound to the limits of reality, something art doesn't have to answer to. (I don't really like Corbusier's stuff, but I do understand the aims and his contributions which i can appreciate. Rule one in architectural studies is to see through the visible.)
