I'm tired to seeing recent NCSO screens because all the NCSO works follow almost the same format despite the it's potential; using castle walls and added unnecessary detail with lack of identity and concept.
Shotguns, I think you already has a skills and your NCSO is definitely much better than your CSO, but I really want to see something different. I know you tried mythical theme but it is not sufficient because we've already seen lots of myth themed parks.
Just thought out the specific concept and find a way to materialize with limited objects. -

personally only people I deem good at ncso are nin and robby because they dare to stay away from the easy to make them look good themes with ncso, they really take the ncso challenge a lot further like some players do with LL -

Why do things have to look different to look good?
I personally like it quite a lot Shotguns -

I like it regardless of wether some say it's too much. The game is as much about creativity as it is about realism so good for you shotgun you've obviously spent a long time on that carousel. -

If you're really asking, I suppose that you don't make parking lots at all. Nobody wants to see them in real life and nobody wants to see them in a game. How do you suppose i make a parking lot that has something to do with the park?

matt... if you, yourself, wants to see a parking lot... then go for it. that is more than enough of a reason to build one.
MA is just saying that it looks like shit, and i couldn't agree more. -

Because it gets stale after a few times and it blocks off creativity. I mean RoB was years ago while you could take over some off the good aspects of that park I wouldn't take over the visual style of it; it has been done to death.
I also I also have the feeling that a lot of NSCO is started just out of the sake of it being NSCO, which IMO is the wrong motivation to do that.If you're really asking, I suppose that you don't make parking lots at all. Nobody wants to see them in real life and nobody wants to see them in a game.
And there you are wrong. YOU don't want to see them. I personally do because your visit of the park starts there. Also parkinglots and other environmental stuff give a park context, something that people often forget. You really don't have to fill the entire map with park. -

In real life, a good parking lot (in terms of atmosphere, foliage etc.) can make or break the beginning/end of the day. I lóve moving to the parking lot at the Efteling at the end of the day for example, because they use the right music, have some nice foliage on there, a nice ''oliebollenkraam'' (dutch food stand) that gives the parking lot a lovely dough-ish scent.
In game, I like to try and achieve the same thing. Create a realistic yet atmospherical parking area including bus parking, bike racks, a bus station, some nice foliage etc. etc. It adds live and context to the map. A park is ''only a park'', it becomes a company the moment you add these kind of surroundings, staff buildings etc.
Really. I think quite a lot of builders would agree, so maybe rethink your definition of nobody? -

So, by that logic, if you see a really really fit girl, but she has the same sort of style and look as a lot of other really really fit girls, then you'd go for the not as attractive girl to the side of her just cos she looks a bit different? -

You don't have to fill the whole map with trees or parking lot, either. It seems to me that while some use this as "context" for a park, most do it because others do and have no idea what they're trying to make you look at.And there you are wrong. YOU don't want to see them. I personally do because your visit of the park starts there. Also parkinglots and other environmental stuff give a park context, something that people often forget. It occurs to me this might be a cultural thing. America is fucking filled with parking lots. Everywhere. And they are rarely if ever taken care of or have any thought put into where they are, how they're laid out, or what they look like.In real life, a good parking lot (in terms of atmosphere, foliage etc.) can make or break the beginning/end of the day. Specifically with parks, though, places like Six Flags (Great Adventure) have the most depressing parking lots I've ever seen, and it's not like they've never used chunks of their parking lot to use as theming... Or Hershey park's maze to even get in. At least they make their asphalt desert smell like fake chocolate, right? tyandor is right--I don't want to see it. And since there's no Parking Lot Tycoon, I'm going to assume I'm more right than I am wrong about "everybody". -

I love you MA.
And I do think the cultural aspect makes a difference. They always tell you "you can't live" without a car in America, that "you're a nobody without one" there. Considering the distances between places it would make sense, and consequently the parking lot deserts. It's just not like that in Europe. -

god damn right. put your foot down, MA. let 'em know that we here at NE won't stand for this parking lot bullshit.
not in Architcture Tycoon! how dare them.... without a car in America, that "you're a nobody without one"
sometimes i wonder if those people can even afford to buy a computer to download music they can't afford. fucking losers. -

Wow people we don't have to have a war here. I'm going to put in a parking lot but its really small and I like it. It has some flowers and stuff and I think it adds to the park
If anyone wants to see a screen shot I can post one -

So to recap, I don't like parking lots. Build whatever makes you hard. Have a nice day.
RMM, I thought we were friends? -

I think we can agree on the cultural thing. Must say the parking lots at Disney Florida were some of the worst I've ever seen. And if that's Dísney, I can only imagine how they'll be at other parks. Same goes for seaworld.
So yeah, to explain why some at nedesigns might like 'em: Here in Europe there are some countries where actual thought, planning and money goes into parking lots. Hence they are not quite that horrific. (Except for Drievliet's, that's just the worst random concrete slab/tarmac/whatever it is I've ever seen. ) -

I gotta agree with MA. Parking lots aren't really the most interesting pieces to look at.
Especially if you're going to put it as surrounding to your park instead of it being the parking lot of the park.
