I once rode a water ride that had water streaming down beside the lift (I can't remember what it was though right now). from a rider perspective, it gives the illusion that you are going faster up the lift than you actualy are. The lift is long and slow enough as it is, this helps them think it's not so long.

Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland's final hill has water running down on either side. I'll admit though it's not as noticable as what you have there.
And by that logic, the lift would would seem way longer to guests than it really is if you believe that they would feel like they're moving faster.

What hurts it is that there is no evac system in place.

    Actually, there is ;)

disneylhand - I was referring to the fact that there is something happening to help past the time. Also, if I remove the ANIMATED water, it helps it make look dead!

Thanks again for the info though

What are we supposed to be looking at? If the boat gets stuck on the hill how will people get down?
  • RCTNW%s's Photo
They stop the water flow (which is running over the steps) and presto - they can walk down the lift. Next question ;)

What if somebody slips on the wet steps?
  • RCTNW%s's Photo
Each step is coverd with a non-skid step. I also forgot to mention that rails elevate from the rocks. Next

    LMAO.

This topic just got a big LOL from me.

Let me ask this, why does everyone feel the need, especially GeeWhzz, to slate a perfectly good screen, just because there aren't a few steps there?

"OMGZ, I'M AN ANGRY TEENAGER, I NEED TO GO ONTO MY FORUMS...OMG THEREZ A PARK THATS NOT COMPLETELY 110% REALISTIC :o:o"

    Haha, GeeWhzz...get a fucking life.

Trav, seriously, you're the joke here.

I like the screen but dear god no steps!!?!? are you fucking kidding me?!?!

What will we do without steps, get stranded and die!! do you want that to happen RCTNW!!!!!!

I wish there were more steps in RCT2.

Anyway good screen, love the colours and the drop looks decent.

Well no shit. Its a water slide you ride down to the station after it breaks down.

But...yeah. I find travs post slightly ironic as he is the one who feels the need to preach to all of us about quality when he has a bad day.
  • geewhzz%s's Photo
lol. Not even going to reply to that one.

Well this was kind of funny until Trav scratched the record.

Then Disney boy had a decent punch line and started to mix it up again. Nicely done.

I always like it if there are still things left to your imagination when viewing a rct park..
Also like all those little realistic things, but there must remain a balance between those 2.. I think RCTNW has a great balance..
When will this be released btw? :D
