This was my friend's first guitar. He doesn't use it now that he's got his LP, so yesterday he gave it to me on loan so I could learn to play.
Also bought this yesterday:

That looks like the Takamine acoustic there Dark Horse... Also the Starcaster, unless is the kick ass 70s simi hollow, is awful.
This is a sweet guitar, and if you have one that makes three known to me (Jonny Greenwood and Chris Walla having the other two):
But if it's one of these:
then you have a sub-squire el-cheapo. They're not awful considering they're 1/2 the cost of most beginner guitars, but still.
But if it's the former I'm going to steal it!
EDIT: *groans* Line 6... Really!? I hope you like playing nothing but chunka-chunka metal because that amp can't do any clean or overdriven tones worth the plastic it's circuit boards are made of. But if you want GAIN, it does that well!

Eh, not really. I more want to play prog rock. Muse, Rush, Floyd, etc.EDIT: *groans* Line 6... Really!? And yeah, I know this amp's not well suited for that. But a) options at the local music store are limited; the other amps I could afford sounded worse and I can't play worth shit anyway, so the tone's kind of a moot point at the moment. Once I can actually play I'll trade up for something else. (And ideally ditch the Ibanez for a Tele.)

zodiac, I wrote out a very detailed description of why you should get a Casino, but my browser went out. In short, it was mostly like this:
John Lennon fucking played one, that is reason enough.
I almost bought one, but I opted for an Epiphone Sheraton II instead.
Plays wonderfully. Ebony finish with gold hardware. Sounds great coming out of my new Fender Hot Rod, which I also purchased recently, but I have no pictures because its at our recording space at the moment. -

Bumpity bump-bump.
Got a MIM Strat for Christmas. Sounds gorgeous (and will only sound better when the strings get broken in.)
Anyone know what the bridge pup in this thing is? Doesn't look like a standard single-coil, and it doesn't hum.

Sweet, I like the colour of it! Not sure what the bridge mic thing is, never seen a mic looking like that before.

That is one beautiful guitar In:Cities! Always liked schecter. I'm thinking of buying a parker guitar soon, never actually played one but I really love the design of them:

i've heard that parkers are really solid and tight guitars, with good playing action, but i've never played one.
and zodiac, YES.
Gretches are absolutely INCREDIBLE guitars. -

the only bad thing is because it's so much, i have to pitch in $200 despite it being my birthday present.
