The solution seems pretty obvious to me. I would have done the exact same thing. Those of you who would pick option #2 are lying to yourself. So quit giving Kumba crap over this.

However, I do vote to create a new music forum. We'll just have to moderate it better. Not a big deal.

Yes I'm pissed off that the music forum, and yes I'm pissed off that Kumba lied, but I do see where he's coming from in the "behind the counter" state of things. Yet I saw no need to delete the whole forum. The music forum itself was totally innocent.

For those using the "its not related to RCT" thing, neither is general chat, games and trivialities etc. etc., but people still use them, and for good reason. There are some quality people here, and it can make for some great debates, or fun stuff. Just because you may not use the music forum, or you don't particularly miss it, doesn't mean that others don't (as proved by the uproar in this topic). I used the music forum a lot because I'm interested in what people have to say about theirs and others' music. Ultimately, I come here for RCT, but that doesnt mean that the site should just obliterate everything thats not related to it, especially not in the manner that it has been done in on this occasion.

Ok, I talked to Rick (ekimmel) and soon he will set up a new music forum. It will have strict rules on link posting tho, so that will be the biggest change.

Also Jelly I know your pissed, but maybe if you did your mod duties I gave you and removed those links I would never have deleted it in the first place.

First you said you were trying to disable links but accidentally deleted a forum (an error which seems pretty hard to make). Then you changed your story and said you deleted the forum because your mom told you to.

See I would've been much less angry if you had just owned up from the beginning and said, "Okay here's the deal, my mom said no more Music Forum and that's that," I would've been pissed, but much less pissed than you saying "Oh there's been a terrible mistake, sorry about that!" and in doing so being completely false to the members of the board that you're supposedly leading. Although it's clear that you and your dear mother have little to no understanding of EVIL MUSIC PIRACY I could live with your reasons. Instead, you chose to lie. Or at least "leave out info." But hey, why are we worth the truth anyway, right?

Lastly, real classy of you trying to turn this around into being my fault. You're the one who TOOK AWAY my old mod powers that the previous administration had given to me and then told me, "Okay you can have them back but only if you keep The Music Forum free of album downloads!!!" even though we had already been sharing music in there for a while with no issues whatsoever. Develop some fucking accountability Kumba, seriously.

is there any way to tell your mom you made a change without doing anything? Is she that tech savvy?

Quit college? I don't where you're getting that shit from. I work full time on top of full time college. And that's really not that uncommon these days. Shit isn't that black and white, dude.

And further more, this doesn't apply to his website running techniques. People have to enter the adult world at some point, and if Kumba's mother respected him as an adult, he would have had a say in the matter. Maturity goes a long way.

This is going to be bad. I'm relatively new, and i get fairly pissed at the attitude and anger, the fighting and the bs on a website that is about a game. A stupid game, folks, that most of us newer generation try to hide from people. god, if i came out and told my freinds this is what i did all the time, they would disown me, after beating me to death with my monitor. The reaction to this has been bs. the guy didn't want to embarrass himself, so he lied. No big deal, i'm willing to bet that we have ALL done this at some point it time, haven't we? Not only is Kumba new at this, but he's got verny little support from you people. What you don't realize is that without people like him, NE wouldn't exist, it would have long since gone defunct like many other rct sites. the music forum is not that big of a loss! it's a MUSIC forum, for god's sake, and if you have that much of a problem with it being gone, that you wan tto leave, then by all accounts, hit the road, becuase it will get rid of at least some of the stupid crap. if all you're hanging around the site for is the music forum, then why not just go to a site dedicated to music? wouldn't that be easier? or would you go there and throw a fit becuase there's no RCT forum there? MAYBE, just maybe, you just like to complain and argue and be a pain in the ass. Sounds about right for some of you. Kumba, I want you to know htat even though i may be a noob of sorts, i stand by you in every way possible, and if you need anything, i'm here to help. and if you other folks don't like that, get over it.
