Suffice to say that recent weeks haven't exactly been a fiesta. So perhaps it's fitting that we end the season by closing the train wreck (sorry to say this, but that's what it's been, and it's not really any one person's fault) of the Demigods season by awarding a forfeit win to their opponents, the Strangelove. In submitting nothing for the final week of the season, the Demigods end the year last place in the East.
So here's what this means. The playoffs will feature Strangelove vs Ferocious Tigers. The interesting thing about all of this is that had the Demigods submitted anything even slightly more complete than SoaP2, they probably would have won, assuming they did use Blitz and Gutterflower this week (their remaining players). That would have created a three-way tie atop the East Division and made for one helluva playoff situation. You can take a look at the updated Standings page to see the final regular season stats.
So in a way, I guess I should thank them for not giving me a headache. But it's always interesting to play what if. I will just say now, not to play the blame game. Shit happens, and obviously, shit happened this season with the team, and I'm sure team morale was pretty low away. In any case, it's still just a game.
So yeah, congrats to the Tigers for making the playoffs with a sub-.500 record, and lets get ready for some quality parks again with the playoffs coming up!
Wow, could this round suck any more? Blitz, your park was the one I was looking forward to most this season. I know how it is though. It was a minor miracle that I managed to (almost) finish my park on time with all the other shit I had going on. Bad luck buddy. Gutterflower too. Sorry it had to end this way. But nevertheless, bring on the playoffs!
PS - Cork, is it too early to start negotiating an extension? We don't wan a matchup like this in the playoffs do we?
Heh. The IIIcons lost with the fact that we were able to put up a winning park this week. You can't change a 50 or something vote difference around. That they decided to forfeit just makes it the more so obvious that we are through and they are not.
Really kind of dissapointing that we are the only team that was able to put forth a complete park this last week.

Wow! I LOVE extensions, giving my team and me more time to still finish heartbreaking parks, sooo needed with players dropping out and others being handicapped by the always more important RL (like myself ) erms....but on the other hand....whenever do we want/wish to finish this H2H??? Somewhere next spring or so...
Way to continue to keep a low profile in the community by winning in the least impressive and memorable way possible. Many of LL's rising talents seem to love doing that nowadays.
With one out of six parks completed this week, I'd almost have to agree with Posix.
