What I intended was for the objects to be like the wood pole in this example:
Just sitting on top like it is in the picture in the first post. Of course, connections with Toon's supports too might be pretty cool. That could open up the options a bit, I suppose. That might require another special piece, but do whatever you think would work out.
I'm glad somebody's gonna attempt it! -

something like this ?
here are the two objects
they align with toons support.
they are called: B&M Steel Support I Beam Centered
it are large scenery.
they are double colorable (the middle can be a other color).
hope this is what you wanted -

Sorry to say, but the shading is totally wrong there.
I also see that something isn't right but according to the rct graphix it should be like this .... everything is build up out of rct graphix ....
this was my first attempt .... if you think that you can do it better please try magnus ... -

Problem found.
Seems like i need to start from scratch again with it and as that is the case I would like to go for a more detailed version. If anybody has pics of those supports from interesting views that would help a lot.
Thanks in advance. -

EDIT - Alternatively, if you have gmax, I could model it and send you the file to base your object off of...Edited by ACEfanatic02, 28 October 2006 - 02:55 PM.

Thanks a lot.
I think I got all the information I need to make this one now. I might have some time tomorrow to do it, otherwise next week ... -

Yeah, I like what Levis had, the shading would be nice. I think if it's in proportion with those support pieces I posted in that screen, it'll be great. Either way, I'm really glad somebody could throw this together. -

Didn't get it done today. This maths worksheet is harder than I expected. Anyhow expect to see an update the next days. -

Can you actually read?
The shading is wrong with those objects, so better wait some days until the fixed version is online ...
Still thanks to levis for starting this. Fixing isn't easy, but I will do my best ... -

^I think that was a rhetorical question, but yes, I can. I was congratulating him for making them very alike the supports in real-life, shading correct or not. -

how's it comming magnus ?
if you don't have time maybe you could try to explain again where the bug is because I still don't understand it completely (I only see that something isn't right ). -

Well I have been pretty busy with uni and some other things lately ... I might have an hour this evening. So I should be able to do at least one or two views, in order to explain it to you ...
I really want to do this, if I just had more time for it ...
Basically your mistake was that you interpretated the round object by Toon wrong in some views and put the new part in a wrong place because of that. It has to be two pixel longer or such to make it look better ... More later (hopefully).
