hey, Jampri, are you by any chance from northern Utah (SLC, Ogden, Eden) ? Because I was there for a week over break and my relatives were hating the snow drought (they live in the Huntsville/Eden/Liberty valley) and I didn't even think about it. But I do remember seeing something about the inversion causing the minimal snow in the north... -

I hate snow. I plan on packing up and moving to SoCal. I'm just glad I don't live in colorado, they got slammed....
In fact, I was just talking about this with someone....apparently they ship snow into indoor ski mountains in Dubai....I guess those desert people think we take our snow for granted, huh? -

Actually, yes, I'm about 15 minutes north of Ogden. I love living here, great view and the such, but we need more freakin' snow. Inversion is still here. I can't even see the mountains, and I literally live on them. That's how hazy its been here today... But, we're expecting a storm this weekend to clear things out and put about a foot in the mountains. Not a whole lot, but its a start I guess.Edited by Jampri, 03 January 2007 - 01:32 AM.

it's supposed to get down to 24 degrees here this weekend, and some clouds have been moving in. I'm hopeful. -

Yes, finally getting some more of the white stuff here. Thursday has a 100 percent chance of snow, friday about 75%, and again on saturday. Highs are gonna drop down to the low teens during the day, and the single digits at night! Horrah for winter! -

Brrrrr, it was freezing the other day here. I think it was somewhere around 55 degrees!!!! Hehe, couldn't help it, but yea, its cold right now around here, but cold for SoCal is warm just about anywhere else this time of year. -

We got hit with another storm here last week. That's our third large storm in less than 3 weeks. Boulder, which got the most snow, received an additional 16" of snow on top of the 66" that had just barely melted. I spent much of the weekend shoveling and digging cars out of the snow. The roads here have been treacherous because the snow melts just enough between storms to cover most streets with a layer of ice every night. On top of that, Boulder has had extremely high winds with gusts up to 80 mph this week that is making for near white out conditions at times.
And now they're calling for another artic blast of cold/snowy weather later this week. We just can't catch a break here..
I'm definitely ready for spring.... -

We got shat on in Rolla (Missouri). A lot of ice, and it's flurrying right now. There's a bunch of trees down on campus, two over walkways. Some campus police car followed me and some friends after I gently tugged on a sagging tree. I'm just glad it's not as bad as the last one for walking and travelling--it hasn't really stuck to the roads and very little on the sidewalks.
