I wish I lived where you do, JKay, I hate the hot weather, and I figure, if its gonna be cold anyway, it might as well snow, since thats the only fun thing about the cold weather anyway. Yes, Im still a little kid at heart who likes to play in the snow... -

No snow at all yet here around Philly. Not even a flurry. God bless global warming. -

Weather in NY have been relatively warm this year. Weather are still in the 40s/50s. By this time it should be in the 30s already! Not that I am complaining.Edited by sfgadv02, 30 December 2006 - 11:11 PM.

it's funny, everyone who generally lives around snow is glad not to have it, and everyone who wants it is now even further from getting it... damn you, global warming.... damn you.. -

Well actually I'm used to living with it and it pisses me off that we're not getting any. I really want to go (downhill) tubing; it's like my mid-winter alternative to roller coasters and shit...
Yeah it's driving me nuts. -

You can't blame one shitty winter on global warming. There are good ones and bad ones, great ones and awful ones. If you recall, northeasterners, last year the early season was fucking awesome--Killington and Wildcat opened on October 28 for fuck's sake. Then sometime around mid-December everything went to hell and the rest of the year was disasterous, after looking like we'd have the most epic ski season in years. Let's just chalk it up to the year 2006 as a whole and hope 2007 comes through for us.
Oh, and ask JKay and other Coloradoans (?) what their thoughts on global warming and this winter are.
edit: It's not that I don't believe global warming exists, because it clearly does. I'm just sick of people saying OMG NO SNOW GLOBAL WARMING. Blame global warming when the coasts move in a little further. -

It's a record year for Minnesota for snow -- well, lack of snow.
Just think of the positives.. Renegade will probably be finished sooner. -

Snow's been on a lack here in Utah. For some reason all those storms that have been hitting Colorado have missed us completely. The ski resorts here are doing okay (my home resort is still able to charge $78 bucks for a day pass) but a 37" base isn't gonna last them to long. We're hoping for a late start here. Stupid temperature inversions aren't cool either. All of Northern Utah fills up with smog and haze, gets freaking freezing because the cold air gets trapped lower, and its actually warmer up in the mountains. Granted, this is a normal occurance, but it bites.
JKay, I'm jealous of all the snow you've gotten there. I know its probably a pain in the ass over there, but when your stuck in a temperature inversion, full of smog, and pretty lukewarm riding conditions... yeah. I think I need to make a trip over there to go snowboarding.
