Ask the Experts / Mis-placed stuck peeps

    I had a similar problem with peeps trying to use a "false" or "ghost" entrance. Using 8Cars I was able to fix the problem, and since I didn't see anyone mention the following . . . try this possible solution:


    In the 8Cars menu under "PARK" select "Change Guest Entry Points".

    A window appears showing 2 "entry points" in your park with an "X, Y & Z" axis and 2 "direction" slots.

    The "Z" axis is the height of the land. "X" and "Y" are the North to South and East to West axis.

    After a few unsuccessful attemps of trying to reset the mis-placed entrance where the peeps got stuck at the edge of the map, it dawned on me . . . one of the "entry point" and "direction" location was correct and the other was not. So instead of counting tiles etc. . .


    Write down the info shown in the box, then make the x, y & z coordinates for "Entry Point #2" the same as "Entry Point #1".

    Then make "Direction #2" the same as "Direction #1"

    Click "OK". Then under the "Guests" menu select "Trams", and then select "small tram".

    Go back into your park and see if the tram dropped off the peeps at the right location.

    If you find the peeps at your park's entrance, your problem is solved!

    If the tram dropped the peeps at the wrong location, and hoping you wrote down the original info . . .

    go back to the "Change Guest Entry Points" window and invert your coordinates & direction info. Meaning, make "Entry Point" and "Direction" #1 the same as "Entry Point" and "Direction" #2.

    If that still doesn't correct the problem, then your issues are more than incorrect entry point locators.

    I tried that function once for EGAS and it didn't work. For some reason te SE changed one of the entry points. My park has two entrances and one is now disabled because of this. Maybe someone else could try it for me sometime.

    I keep getting a problem where, if I set the entry point underground, the peeps come into the map on the normal ground level, at the farthest right piece of path on the map. It sucks.

    ^ I do have quite some experience with it and am 90% percent sure I can fix it, so I'll give it a try if you want. (cannot do it immediately however as I am still away from home for a few more days and have no access to RCT atm)
