I think somebody killed phatage mid sentence! Phatage, talk to me, are you o.k.??
James, the parking lot is turning out well. The trams make it special, otherwise, it's just more of the same. Nice job on that! As Genious previously stated, the stalls look a bit odd being a different color. -

^ I think he's just leaving us all in suspense.....what is it phatage? It's really what...?
As for the screen, loving it. Looks fantastic. I think that parking lots are increadibly important, after all, for most people, it's the first part of the park you see. Trams are a great idea. Can't wait for the release, it's got spotlight written all over it.Edited by Lloyd, 11 January 2007 - 01:16 PM.

RCTCA – Thanks. Me either!
Geewhzz – Thanks for the arrows as they really help. As for the tiled lines, This are not parking spaces. That’s part of the pedestrian access points from the parking lot. I may move the barriers out adjacent to the road. Only the spaces marked out in white (or blue for handicap) are actual parking stalls. As to your other comment, I got them covered! Thanks
Brent – Thanks! I forgot all about that you were going to help me with the free fall. Sorry about that
JDP – Thanks
Ling – Please see RCTCA comment above
Genius – Thanks. The parking stalls are concrete where as the road is asphalt.
Phatage – Thanks but I don’t think others should attempt this scale. You will find out when it gets released
Todd – Thanks. I might look at the stalls once I finish the project as however they will need to stay as they are for now as it would take too long to make the adjustments.
Lloyd – Thanks however this will not be eligible for spotlight as it will be released in phases. If I were to wait until it was completely finished (the entire 9 map project) and then send in for a spotlight, RCT7 would be hitting the shelves. The intent of this project was not to win spotlight but rather allow me to expand on different aspects of the project without having to start all over.
Thanks everyone again for the comments. It’s nice to know others appreciate this aspect of parkmaking

It's really excellent, James. However, I think the black traffic barriers could be taller and more spaced apart. -

I guess the cats out of the bag now. Ooops
Yes, this is a nine map project however two are nothing but water right now (plans are already in the works for those maps btw). One is the Convention Center that is already complete. Two of them are for MGA and MMW and o other for the third park (which I have not started on). Once the MGA map, the parking and perhaps the resort are complete, I will release those maps however the project as a whole will not be complete. Even some of the maps will not be completely filled at the time of release (other than being tree’d in the open areas). That is why this project will not meet the spotlight requirement. For example, the MGA map is only about 2/3’s filled with the actual park. The rest of it will be tree’d for now. This will allow me to expand the park as my interest changes from one map to another. Working on the project this way has made a huge difference in my motivation with RCT as I hate the object selection process with each new project. Each map brings a different aspect to the game for me and I feel that sense of accomplishment when I finish each one.
Again, I know this sounds strange and perhaps even a bit looney, however it works for me.
Here is one of the early concept images for this project. Part of it has changed a bit however it’s still pretty close.
All these maps will line up to form one very large aerial
Again, based on current progress, we should be open (released) on 4-2-07.
Thanks again.
Steve - I agree however I don’t have an object like that
Zodiac - Thanks

You're crazy but a genius at the same time... nine parks but something that's hard to get bored with... -

FK+Coastermind - Sorry but that part will remain with myself until it's released as I want to keep some info for the release.
JDP - For the most part, yes. I will have a couple of guest coaster builders though
Ling - It sounds like alot but it really is not that much (that is what I keep telling myself anyway)

yeah, you can't really feel comfident about a project excpet when you freshly start, or when you're just about done. Good luck though! -

if you finish this, and by finishing i mean maps that actually have a certain amount of content, you'll be my hero.
the screens look very nice.
but like i've stated before, and that counts for all of your works, they're just soooo sterile.
they miss warmth.
maybe it's because you're going too straight into the recreational aspect of rct rather then the aesthetic.
i can perfectly respect that, though my personal goal had always been to combine those two.
and i never accomplished that -
Ling Offline
^ of course having guests (and lots of 'em to fill all the path) would give it a warmer feel. Not so empty... And I totally get what you mean on the combining aesthetic and recreational aspects part.
EDIT: and looking back, I see a bunch of white. Everywhere. That might have to do with looking "sterile".Edited by Ling, 13 January 2007 - 01:37 PM.

James, this is great work, and it's awesome to see such an ambitious project that is moving so fast that I'm 95% sure we will see completed. That in itself is a great achievement.
But I do agree with Posix in a way. Your work just seems a tad sterile, it lacks atmosphere somewhat, but I can't put my finger on why. You have the skills, your architecture is great, and very unique, your coaster layouts are solid, your theming is top notch and you have a great mind for planning and designing parks, yet somehow your work just feels a tad "sterile" as Posix put it. Yet I have no doubt this park/set of parks will be fantastic.
As I have mentioned, great work with the monorail, an idea I've wanted to incorporate into a project sometime, but it's really well excecuted.
Looking forward to the next update!

Genius638 - Thanks! I hope it does.
Ling - Thanks but I hope luck doesn't have play a part in it.
posix - In looking back, I think Ling may have hit upon it in that the use of white could be causing the effect. I also think my use of white really took hold with my Tomorrowland map I did a year or two ago. I have found that I really like using white (or light gray) as an accent color in most of my structures. I also like the look of VERY clean lines which also could be causing the effect and since I like the look, I never really picked up on the "sterile" look before. Since I'm working on the parking area, I did go around and make some adjustments that I hope will make a difference. The MGA map is not too bad with the use of white however the MMW map is pretty heavy on white that I may need to go back and adjust. The resort map will have very little use of white (with the exception of the monorail track/supports) so I hope I can turn this "sterile" look around. Thanks for the info
Ling - Like I said about, I think it is the use of white also. Thanks
RMC - Hot really but thanks anyway
Mark - Thanks buddy. Sorry I missed you earlier. Next time we see eachother, I'll send you the parking area so you can see the trams in motion. It really is cool and I'm surprized there are not others that have used this before (although I have seen variations of it).
Everyone - please keep in mind that the only reason I have 9 Maps is to form a square aerial. Based on the concept drawing above, 2 of the maps are nothing but water (with just a little land to smooth out the waterfront). Yes I might add some landfill to it at a much later date but thats it. Also, the Convention Center is already done so that map is also complete. That cuts it down to 6 maps and 2 of those are nearly complete. It really is not that big of a project. I do appriciate the support though.

Update time once again
Work around the parking facility continues. Here is one of the monorail stations that will connect the three parks to the other various maps. This particular station is near the "to be named park" entrance plaza along the midway.
The parking facility is nearly finished at around 95%. Getting closer!!!!!!!!
