News / Major Staff Shake Up

You may have noticed some strange things on the forums lately, the Music forum was moved, people on the online list have new colors on their names and the weirdest thing of all must be what's right up over this text, Kumba posting a main page news update?!

Yesterday after a long chat with iris, we agreed to terms and I bought New Element. For now I'd say iris and I are co-owners, but I will be running some things as iris takes a break, and Corkscrewed is on and off-line while he is in France.

What will change? Not much, I don't want to mess with a good thing, but for now all I have really done is upgrade the staff a bit. Heres a breakdown of what I did:

We now have 5 more global mods:

Panic
Steve
JKay
Magnus
X250

All these people have some leadership experience here, are online a lot, or both.

We also have a new Admin:

ekimmel

He's a good friend of mine, great with PHP and FTP and is also online a lot.

I hope to get whatever problem we have having with posting things on the main site fixed and update a lot of very out of date areas of the site. As far as NE3 goes thats a whole other monster. As far as upper management goes it's looking something like this:

Webmaster: Corkscrewed (Well if he does not go ballistic and quit when he finds out about this, lol)
Owner(s): iris and Kumba

Awesome congrats dude. Anyway im sure your'll do a good job running things till Corks a bit more active. Also congrats to the new mods and ekimmel.

I think this is a healthy thing for the site because you've always been an enthusiastic member who helped prop the place up, just as a leader should be.

well, if there's anyone i'd have nominated for modship/admin-ness it'd be eKimmel. he's just a hlepful community kinda guy.

i dunno about the globabl mods; most seem like they'd be better off just being the fantastic members they are without having to do modly things.

Never got the impression Iris was such a fan of Kumba or so much impressed by his wanted leadership/ethics,

but of course I can be wrong, and things/motives can change in life, even for Iris...

Damn! That shit was major! Props to the new mods & admins, they should be glad. I've noticed that mods here are not so much as moderators, but more like regular members with mod powers. I say that because we're a pretty laid back site, and being a moderator is like getting a nod over the other powerless imps on the site like myself.
