Hey all
ive been working on some codex related fun tonight
but im not sure if it conveys the point.
Ive been working on 2 rides tonight. the aim is to get a realistic look and yet still make them rideable to the LL peep. so that leaves me with occasional compromises. Anyway i want you guys to look at these 2 screens and tell me what rides they are supposed to be. if you get them right then i guess i have achived my goal. if not. then i need to work more
Please note the complete lack of themeing/colour choice is not a representation of the finnished product
However both are completly peep friendly -

I have no clue what the first one is, but if I am not mistaken the second one is an Intamin Freefall. -

I think that the first one is a Robocoaster. Anyway, it looks pretty nice and realistic, looking forward to more updates. -

The first one looks okay, but I think you could make the second one look nicer. I remember Nitrous or mrICE doing a hack for that ride.
I used to be able to do it, but I don't know if I still can.
I just think that the second one could be improved... -

hmm any suggestions on how to improve the freefall. ive never actually seen one in real life so im a bit vauge lol
The robocoaster is done using codex. build a 1 square station and use a 1 car 1 train floorless car. change the ride mode to something like "Intense Mode" from the Top Spin ride and change the Track type to Crooked House. Then useing the codex lower the entrance/exit (in this case underground) and set the entrance exit squares using the advanced options to the same level.
you will then have what looks like a floating Floorless car. but when you test it the car will roll and swivel and turn (it looks a bit odd but its the best i can do ) You then add the track to make the robocoaster arm (i think i can make that look better when i next play) and when you open the ride riders will just magiclly apear on the car after the board -

I had no idea what those were, but that was because of ignorance rather than lack of skill on your part. Still, kudos to you for making some nice looking rides and the fact that they're rideable just makes them that much better. I look forward to seeing more work from you and what more you can do with the codex. I really like your hacks, you made them well.
Those tunnel entrances look pretty nice, although kinda low, but I guess that's the best way you could do them, so it's ok.
A backwards drop for that ride? Great!, good idea. I'm looking forward to more updates of this park, well done. -

Can't wait to see that river ride fully. Those tunnel entrances are nice, too, although it looks like the wrong theme for them? Driving school looks a bit pointless in a theme park, but it's a nice hack. -

Really nice screens. I can't wait to see this in the game. I do have one question though: Do the cars on the drive test ride stop at the intersections? Because I hope so.
