I thought there was a way to do it with codex.

yes there is, but you need Hex Editing skills to do that in rct2.
for as far as I know only me WME and maybe Magnus are able to make a vertical track invisible in rct2.

^Storm Runner at Hershey Park is pretty rough. Intamin just gotta keep practicing.
    -JDP

that honestly is the stupidest thing I've heard regarding real coasters at this site
  • JDP%s's Photo
    ^Explain.
See that is what I dont get with some people on this site. They say something critical, and then say nothing constructive along with it. Storm Runner was the first Hydraulic Launch coaster with inversions. It understandable if its rough since its Intamins first shot at it. Its been operating since 04'. So Intamin's newer Hydraulic Launch
inversion coasters are probably a bit smoother now. But I have been told by a few people that Kingda Ka is rough in the back (i rode front seat). And what I mostly hear about Storm Runner is that it sucked and it hurt like hell. A coaster being rough does not bother me at all, but most people like a smooth ride. Thats why I said they need to keep praticing (im only talking about Hydraulic Launch inversion coasters). So now Phatage, please be a little bit more clear.

The method of obtaining energy shouldn't be a factor in how the rest of the coaster reacts. Once a coaster is moving, the inversions should feel the same.. (meaning, it's not the launch then inversion that intamin would need to work on. The inversion would feel the same had it been a lift hill at the beginning of the coaster.)

Thats funny, because I always hear the complete opposite.

But thats niether here nor there so lets get this show back on the road, hows about an update eh?

Quite frankly, JDP, you are wrong once again. Storm Runner is smooth as hell first of all. Secondly, Intamin doesn't need to practice shit. The track is made from mathematical formulas only, and they use machinery that is as accurate and precise as practically possible. Also, Intamin's newer inversion HL and HL coasters are the exact fucken same, though slightly newer. Pretty much you are doing the same thing you've done in the past. You try to sound like some smart guy who knows everything about caosters, get called on it for being wrong, and then bukllshit your way out of it. ("Oh well someone told me") SR is smooth, and whoever told you it wasn't is a dumbass in need of some thicker skin.

^Well then excuse me for being worng (there, i said it). And all I did say, is what I have been told, sorry.

I am back in the Scenario Editor getting the items I need for the theming (canyons, ect) But there will be an update in a few days, the layout is complete, just need to support / theme.

...well back on topic, you didn't say that you hadn't ridden Storm Runner in the first place, and why would you say something that you've been told in the place where something you should only say if you actually know? Storm Runner is smooth as a B&M, I know because I 1, have ridden it and 2, have ridden Great Bear right after it and have a plausible comparison. Kingda ka is rough, only in the back, and this roughness isn't headbanging like you were interpreting from what you heard but it is the car vibrating extra hard on the track. vibrating extra hard.

I did ride storm runner... maybe the fact tht it was a bit too short for my taste threw me off too :/

I think this topic needs another screen
  • Phatage%s's Photo
well until then, how does a coaster's ride duration affect your perception of its smoothness?
  • ChillerHockey33%s's Photo
I thought that was bullshit that I was smelling...

    JDP, face it, youre wrong.

Ok...maybe for him, it was rough, and for you, it was smooth...you just have different opinions...

Well CH, I already said im wrong. I mean, its been awhile since I rode it. I was on an 8th grade feild trip, and I was really looking foward to riding SR. It was just so fast (which at the time I though it will be longer) and shook me way more than expected. Quite a few people were dissapointed in the ride, including my self. But im done explaining myself; I throw in the towel...

Can you make the Twister coasters launched lifthill piece invisible? If so do it with those.

Make one then put 2 spaces (I reckon cause of the small cars) and another one.

It'll work, but only look good if you can them invisble.
  • JDP%s's Photo
If possible, it would have been done many times before. So the anwser is no, it can't be done.
