I'd rather have discreet boosters than a poorly placed MCBR that kills 30 mph any day.
first off if you think the boosters are discreet perhaps someone should watch the layout again it is pretty obvious they are there. and secondly have you ever rode a floorless coaster before? every floorless coaster i have ever seen has a very similar mcbr and really adds apunch to the end of the ride so i wouldnt call it poorly placed. but either way can we please see the next parks because this is really going nowhere.Edited by chapelz, 01 August 2006 - 04:47 PM.

This is what happens when neither park is great.
I'm tempted to call this a tie and just fuck up the other Division. -

Please show me one floorless coaster that has an MCBR with anywhere near that much speed loss. Pretty much all of the Beemers are decelling MAYBE 10MPH tops, whereas Eruption went from 40 to 19, and fast. I think you're confusing MCBR's with end of ride brakeruns.
And yea, this should just be called a tie and let's move on.
Ah, and yes, I love the avatar as well.Edited by eman, 01 August 2006 - 05:15 PM.

lol actually I kind of regret starting a "let's call it a tie"ish campaign, even though that wasn't entirely what I meant (if it stays a tie for a while then we should is what I meant). Ending it now wouldn't exactly be consistent with the policies of H2H, but it'd be kinda funny. -

Almost every ride in real-life uses boosters of some sort to get the right speed for their ride.. I don't really mind them as much as the flaws on the tiger's coaster(s)..
I also agree about putting the canes VS Bandits match up though

I find it incredible that the community can be split exactly in half for these matches. I think there must be some sort of underdog effect - people realise a park is slightly behind so when they look at the parks they see the losing park in a different light and end up voting for it.
It can't be just down to personal preference, can it? -

But people can not see the voting results before they vote, right?
At least I can't..
I think it's personal preferences, although not everyone voting is posting those..

Well, I just tied it back up. Damn!
Voted for Napa Rui just because it appealed to me more than Isla Magica did. I certainly can't take anything away from the Demigods as I certainly don't have any known parkmaking skills.
Whether either of these parks are mediocre or not, I'll leave to those of you that certainly have better parkmaking skills than myself. While I wasn't wowed by either park, I did enjoy exploring both of them. -

Why not?
They are essentially very similar to each other. Thus, any small personal bias either way can decide the vote. In the end, it comes down to which one you think had a minute advantage over the other.

mantis, I do think that some of that may have come into effect when the Tigers had a 26-20 lead. But I think the overall effect of that is minor. About every time a close game happened last season it was because the parks were really about equally good. Or, in the case of Finals Game 2, equally shitty.
Sorry, I'm in a bad mood.
And SF, you can see the score before you vote as long as you see it as a guest (if you don't automatically log in). -

thanks about the avatar guys
and eman i always remember Kraken(the ending of the Tiger's coaster looks alot like Kraken's now that i look at it) slowing down a lot but maybe my memory is shit.Edited by chapelz, 01 August 2006 - 08:15 PM.

That's bullshit and you know it. Please give me pictorial evidence to support your claim because to my knowledge Volcano-The Blast Coaster @ PKD is the only coaster to have any artificial (read not gravity) speed-boosting elements.Or, in the case of Finals Game 2, equally shitty.

Dude lay off the Pyramid Connection already. I only had two weeks to build aboud 70% of it (because leighx kept if for two weeks and didn't do a whole lot) while IN SCHOOL. Neither it nor DATL is bad enough to be commonly referred to as "shitty" imo. There were plenty of parks last season and a few this season that either of the afformentioned parks would've beaten with ease, and that doesn't include forfiets.
On Panic's other point however I agree. Please just call this a tie and get it over with.
*sighs*

I've never ridden Kraken, so I can't say from experience, but it does look to me like the height plan for Kraken is pretty similar to that of Scream/Medusa, and their MCBR's are just like 20/25->10 or so. In the scope of RCT2, I just felt that the whole MCBR placement and the way it screwed up the pacing was more of a flaw then the boosters. Prolly just a matter of personal preference though, so I understand where you're coming from.
Now can we see the other parks please, I'm tired of these ones.Edited by eman, 01 August 2006 - 08:33 PM.
