So here's the reason i've done nothing good since forever. Life's taken a different direction, and this is it. This routine is from the British National Championships, where I finished 4th in the senior mens category.

    Nice tights.

I'm curious about the "X" and two lines on the trampoline. I know you are judged on landing in certain zones. Can you explain Jem?
  • Corkscrewed%s's Photo
Wow, that's really impressive, and hella cool to watch. So flippy and full of air time. :D
  • Levis%s's Photo
don't you get dizzy of such things :p .
I can imagine you do this about 100 times at a training....I get the feeling that is a bit disoriatating :p .

    I'd puke for sure though.

  • posix%s's Photo
man, i was really holding my breath on a few of them jumps.
  • mantis%s's Photo
It's the last one (what's that called? full-full?) that freaks me out.
I'm definitely going to get a ticket for the World Cup - did you make the team?
  • Midnight Aurora%s's Photo
Props, dude. I'm pretty damn in shape, and 5 minutes on a trampoline kicks my ass.

I can only do a backflip 360... And it certainly doesn't look that pretty.

That was pretty cool. Did you win?
  • mantis%s's Photo
I think he came 4th. The guy who won seems pretty unstoppable (he won this other competition I saw), but I guess turtle might disagree lol.

Thanks everyone. Brent, I finished 4th.

JKay - the cross in the middle is to tell you where the middle is. The aim is to bounce there. The four lines form an inner box, and if any move lands outside of this box, there is an instant 0.3 deduction for that move. Add that to any other deductions, such as bent legs, not holding the kick out into the trampoline etc. and you can end up with some pretty low scores for a routine.

Steve - thankyou. I love my tights.

Levis - you do get dizzy, but you get used to it, as you get used to anything you do a lot.

X250 - My aim is to be there, bringing it home for GB. There is indeed an olympic trampolining event, but only since 2000.

    Rhynos - er.

Posix - so was I. :p Seriously though, it's hard to breathe!

Joe - Yeah, that's a full full. I was going to put a miller at the end (one extra twist to that move) but I lost a bit of height in the middle and nearly landed on the side on move 8, so I decided against it. :) I'm not in the team for the World Cup Final, but I will be going to a World Cup event later on in August. Doubtful that i'll qualify there, but i'm coming to Birmingham to watch, we'll have to meet up.

MA - Cheers. A routine like that still kicks my ass lol.

    Thanks everyone.

Edit - Joe, he's not unstoppable, he just has 6 years of experience on me. I'll beat him next year. I actually scored better form marks, but he had a ridiculously hard routine (just like at BUSA). :p
  • mantis%s's Photo
Yeah 16 tariff is a bit unreasonable if you ask me. How come he's still doing BUSA if he's that old?!
  • Turtle%s's Photo
    Masters. :p
  • mantis%s's Photo
haha and I guess it'll be PhD next :D
i'm all excited about the world cup now. which is the best trampolining nation? the russians?
