Why did we reveal who made these two parks early?
one of the parks was DQed so there was no reason to hold it back, the votes are only being taken to give the Hurricanes a correct vote count since it would be punishing them if they were not tallied -
Kumba Offline
Let me guess, Kumba did the bottom bit and ekimmel did the top bit?
My only moan about the hurricanes park is that it probably could have done with a porno area.
Yeah, as I said in my post Rick did the top, I did the Quarry, tho on each the other did a little to, like the little cherry picker in the equpment yard was made by Rick, then I re-made it and moved it, he also did the first version of the oil drill. On the top I added a few details and did all the stuff on the lifts.
Funny how all my best H2H Work is always underground, underwater, a shrine to someone else or in this case cast off into a Quarry
And sorry about the lack of porn... -

Hurricanes : Very nice idea and well pulled off, Not sure all the hacks were necessary, but where some are done the scereny has been used with them well. What you set out to do was deffiently achieved. I'm gonna keep this one.
Stallions : I dont understand what it was? (could someone explain, lol) That brick building was nice.
Unlucky about the DQ. Dont think agains't that you might have won. But its a good waste for Hurricanes (he he).
Vote : Stallions (because they got DQ)(get their vote count up!) -

Yep, that's about how it went. The woodie was a pain to fit into that little area but I managed to squeeze it in. I spent waaaay too much time on the stream that separates the entrance building from the rest of the park. Not only is it almost entirely made with land blocks but it's mostly built above the maximum water level. And after all that nobody has even mentioned it!
And sorry about the leack of porn. If you're a pervert the drills might look a little phallic? I'll try to work something into my next park. -

I voted for Hurricanes...
Their park was pretty nice, and I really liked all the details there were in it. The architecture was good in structures, but boring in colors. Anyway, it was a great job.
Psychoneurosis: it seems kinda interesting, but anyways it's a really strange park...I didn't understand what was it about. When I saw the overall pic, the first thing I noticed were those huge blocky buildings, I mean...this park was "big-blocksful"...the park had some good buildings, but nothing that could impress me.
Besides, it was just theme, no rides...that's a little boring...
Anyway...I guess that all the park makers involved in this matchup deserves credit (Some deserves more and some deserves less), because not any person can enter in the H2H
competition.Edited by RCFanB&M, 23 July 2006 - 09:12 AM.

Bad luck DJ- i'm guessing there were some unavoidable circumstances of some sort that contributed to this result...
the Quarry looks like a fantastic park. Dammit I really wish I could make rct2 work. -

Regardless of the dq, the Canes would've whipped ass. The little virginia reel was brilliant, and everything in the whole park looked great. It was expertly themed with tons of good idea making the drills & machinery. -

Oh crap
Nice advatar btw,lol -

The Canes park was excellent. I just wish we could see Dj's park finished, it looked like it was quite interesting. -

I won't comment on any of the parks right now, but I wanted to say I was really surprised by the disqualification. When I read about it, I couldn't recall anything about a set map size (which is why I just used the PT bench without altering anything), but re-reading I now see that the rules say this (within parenthesis):
"usually around 50x50 to 70x70 squares in size"
which honestly must have missed completely. I did however remember this:
"There is no bench for H2H, but be reasonable. I will not set a designated map size, but if a team submits a map that all coaches decides is unreasonably too big, the park will be disqualified and entered in as a NE Design."
which is a lot less exact and what made me go with that map size (it seems very strange otherwise, doesn't it?). Regardless, the decisions are already made and it was really stupid mistake on my part. I apologise to my team, The Hurricanes and everyone else for that.
Comments on the parks later, when I've looked at both. -

Wdf i really didnt understand that park man. Hurricanes good job, you could clearly see who done what area in that park. Some nice hacks and ideas there Kumba, looked cool. Ekimmel i thought that your area sort of drifted away from the pint, because i cant picture that being right next to a qaurry lol, but some nice landscaping going on there guys. -

Janus...you were TWENTY BY TWENTY bigger then the limit. That's not reasonable. That's a PT2 park vs. a H2H park. Not very fair. I felt bad DQing you especially cause you're one of my favorite parkmakers, but it was the right thing to do. -

That's 3200 extra squares, kids.
DJ, surely you can comment on your own park without having to look at it? :-\ It looks as interesting as your parks usually are (by which I mean very). -
Micool Offline
I would just like to be the first one to make an excuse, which is that Janus ended up having to do the park in three days, due to a misunderstanding. It is of course our team's fault but just thought I'd put that out there.
