Just saw a POV of El Toro, and my opinion stands.
Voyage POV vs El Toro POV is no contest for Voyage. -

And by the POVs alone, I also couldnt agree more. But you dont feel the forces from the POVs.

El Toro's drop looks a bit weak (I love Voyage's drop more from POV's, nice and loooong)....
Second of All, The Voyage's pacing is insane, and its fast space jouynrey through the woods gives it even more points. -

Call me crazy, but I enjoyed Son of Beast.
Kinda cool to have the 'only one' or 'original one' of something so I think PKI should keep it. -

When I rode El Toro for the first time, that hill gave the most intense ejector hair I've ever expirenced. I was amazed how fast it flew over that hill. -

well fatha the difference is that we, or most us (on the either el toro or keeping an open mind side) have ridden both cci's/gg's/gci's/dinns but you haven't ridden any plug'n'playssssss, making our opinions better than yours!
serially though, crystal beach cyclone kicks both of their assessss, I rode it. -

^um. right... LMAO
After going to Cedar Point again and riding Millennium Force some more I've decided that The Voyage is actually my #2 coaster (behind only Cornball Express @ Indiana Beach).
The Voyage's pacing is unbelieveble. It's close to 2 full minutes from the top of the lift to the brakes and it doesn't let up once. The airtime wasn't what it was cracked up to be (all solid floater, no big lapbar-meeting slammers) but the laterals and corners are blissful and it tracks perfectly.
Cornball Express though is much shorter (~50 seconds from lift top to brakes during the day, 40-45 by late evening), however a back seat ride after 8:00pm EST (so the park doesn't close for another FOUR HOURS) is probably the most heavenly experence I've ever had. And definently the only of the heavenly experences that I've repeated for three years in a row. At that time the laterals are mean, the airtime ALL ejector and the lap bars single-position "buzz bars".
Based on that arguement El Toro, assuming the airtime really is as ejector-seat insane as you're claiming, would probably be one of my favorite rides. Would it top the Voyage for me? Maybe, I've seen people with opinons that have gone the both way but I don't know the details of their tastes. Personally I've ridden ~75 coasters, but I wouldn't say that means anything because only about 15 of them are what I would classify as "world class" in their respective catigories and/or overall.
And all of that without mentioning SOB.
Personally I don't what they should do with it. SOB doesn't look like a ride I would enjoy in the slightest, however since I've yet to ride it I won't pass judgement.

Best woodie? kennywood's Thunderbolt. It's small. But it's fast. the LAST drop is the longest one. It's a long ride, almost a minute and a half. I love it.
