Welcome to Banana Republic! For those that remember me, it's been a long ride. I think this park has taken me 4 years to build. I've recently come back to RCT and decided it was high-time I finished the park. You will notice there are some older styles, which is partially due to its lengthy build time, but I've gone over some of the stuff to keep it fresh. Enjoy!
Banana Peel slide near the park entrance.
The swampy marsh area of the park, including ancient ruins and a guided log ride tour.
Pirate Peninsula, home to the parks only wooden rollercoaster.
For some downtime, head over to Fisherman's Isle.
One of the park's main attractions, Streets of Playa del Platano: ride in a vintage vehicle through town while shooting at targets.
Too hot? Cool down on Agwe's Rapids, located within the Diamond Basin area, which also includes Diamond Mine Disaster, an exhilirating mine ride in and out of a mountain, ending with a waterfall drop!
For the coaster enthusiasts, Tepeyollotl provides a quick thrill with 6 inversions.
I recently sent this park in for Spotlight consideration. If it doesn't make it, I'll release the park shortly.
Thanks! Comments appreciated! -

Looks like a nice LL park. Not sure if its Spotlight quality but it looks like it could make it as a runner up. I can't wait to see it wherever it comes up. Good job and good luck!

Yeah, it looks like it'll probably be at least RU quality. I think its placement will just depend on the size of the park. -

Yea haha I remember this. Was one of the better looking parks, still looks good too. I really like the 5th screen. It has such a nice feeling to it, fits the name of the park perfectly. Even though some say its out-dated, I still really like it. -

I'm very glad you kicked me off, haha. Looks really good. I love the screen with the rapids, that's masterful construction right there. -

Good shit, I like the hacking and you seem to be using trackitecture very well. Some screens are kinda meh, but others are great, especially the rapids and vintage cars. -

Banana trees have fronds, so try the other type of palm tree if you could resubmit it. Let me show you what I mean.

You're keeping that coaster that goes over/under/behind or whatever it does of the waterfall, right? I think it was a mine-mini. -

Thanks for the comments everyone. Good to see old faces again. It's also nice to see interest in such an old park as well as LL.
Haha ya, the stuff we originally came up with was terrible. I literally had to redo two complete areas because the architecture and colours were so awfulooooh, I remember this.

Hey there.no way.
Yes, those would be my attempt at bananas.are those bananas in the palm trees in screen five and one?
Point taken. I wasn't really going for accuracy though, simply choosing what looks best. In this instance, the bananas would look silly on the other tree. Also, considering the amount in the park, it's just too much work. Thanks for the tip thoughBanana trees have fronds, so try the other type of palm tree if you could resubmit it. Ya, it's still in. That's the ride called Diamond Mine Disaster. If you recall I had big white spheres which represented diamonds. I've since dropped those, and changed the tiling somewhat. Other than that, it remains untouched. You're keeping that coaster that goes over/under/behind or whatever it does of the waterfall, right? I think it was a mine-mini.

I remember this park. I've got an extremely early version of it somewhere. Can't wait to see the final version, because the screens look outstanding, and the very early version of the park looked pretty awesome too. -

DarkHelmet?! Where are you people all coming from? I guess it's summer so people are bored, but still... -

^Maybe someone’s been buying old member's accounts slashdot-style to rig h2h votes. Make a couple of posts a few days before the Hurricanes’ park goes up to not arose suspicion.
On topic: I remember this and I’m glad it’s still going. The ride with the log flume cars looks awesome.Edited by darkfire, 07 July 2006 - 01:29 PM.
