sensible coercion
obviously if I told everyone what to do then everything would be hunky dory.
I don't see the problem with putting limits on the manufacture of ludicrously sized cars. I suppose it's more about the mindset though, something which I will probably never be able to fathom. -

You know, now that I think about it, the sizes of cars isn't going to change. Yes, I know that only a minute fraction of cars on the road today depend on hybrid technology, and even less on hydrogen, but if you look, both of those technologies are getting more and more headlines everyday meaning that a large percentage of the public will be more aware. Therefore, within the upcoming years, fuel tech will change to the alternative fuels and gas prices will have much less impact on the market. And yes, I realise that this new change may be 20 years away, but look at the long-term and it seems like tomorrow. -

None of you are looking at the bigger picture...
Politicians(who would have to be the ones to force the smaller cars), as well as the big CEOs of the car companies are involved in big oil. Translation: They make more money by selling more gas...they all get richer... -

I tend to agree with you minnimee.
There were rumors that either GM or Ford had built a V8 engine that got about 40 mpg. This was 20-25 years ago too. -

Who Killed the Electric Car?
I'm thinking of seeing this film and I'm sure many more of you may be interested too. -

Theyve been sitting on hydrogen since the early 90's/
You wont see better cars until there is no more fuel...By then oh god who knows...
