Mantis' reminded me of one of my favorites.
Pythagorean Switch!!!
The one with the hammers and the singing narrative is one of my favorites. A lot of them are really clever. My roommate and I made a machine like that this past year in just a few hours and won a prize of $100. We're going to completely dominate the competition this coming year since we we were hardly even trying this last time.
From The Next Generation. He was the blind guy with the visor. The Reading Rainbow guy was on Star Trek?!?!

Damn I wish we had a competition like that lol.
Those last two were incredible - especially the bit with the books right at the end.
I liked the one with the roll of sellotape too.
I might try and make one now..! -

Ah yes, that video. Great clips of Ruth Goldberg Machines, but that end jingle annoys the shit outta me. -

Heh yeah I was wondering were they adverts for a tv station or something? I had the jingle stuck in my head for a while...although for that long one with the hammers they had an extra special variation on the jingle lol. -

From the long Wikipedia article on Rube Goldberg:
"A children's educational television show named ピタゴラスイッチ ("Pitagora Suicchi", or "Pythagorean Switch") features Rube Goldberg machines at the beginning and end of each episode, and at transition points within episodes. The show has been produced by NHK-ETV since 2002. Those machines are created by 佐藤雅彦 Lab in Keio university." -

What kind of a wussie swing is that? If you're gonna swing, actually swing.
(which kinda proves it's fake) -
