(Archive) Advertising District / RCT Convention

The entire staff and management at the RCT Space Network are proud to present the upcoming 2006 "Triple Threat" Spring RCT Convention, to be held in the newly remodeled convention center complex designed and built by none other then the one and only RCTNorthwest. James remodeled and expanded the old convention center and what you see below is the end result. We are working on making this a click and go, inter-active map that will take you to various forums, floors and booths that will make up this years convention.

We are calling this year’s convention a “Triple Threat” for more then one reason. This RCT convention will be for THREE categories: Structures, Rides and Parks. Also it will be open for all versions of the game; RCT1, RCT2 and RCT3. It will be laid out on three different floors with corresponding forums. So it’s rolling up in three’s this year folks and therefore it’s called a “Triple Threat”. This convention is open to the entire community and in fact we are sending invitations to New Element and many other RCT sites to come and join us here in our new home.

WHAT is it? A gathering place for the RCT community to come and showcase their RCT talents and crafts for everyone to see what is the state-of-the-art and what’s going on currently in the RCT community.

WHEN is it? The Convention Center opens its doors on June 1st and participants have until June 10th to set up and fine tune their "booths". From June 10th to June 17th (1 week) all displays will be open and voted on by members then polls will be closed and tallied. June 20th is final day of convention and the awards and prizes for the winners of the various categories and contest will be announced and event closes. Booths can be left up and forums will be open until July 1st.

WHERE? At the RCTSpace Network newly remodeled Convention Center which is supported by the Convention forums, all coming from our own new home at RCTSpace.

WHY? To promote interest and attention to not only a fantastic game called RollerCoaster Tycoon but also to bring together in one location, for just a minute, a fantastic community of RCT fans and players whose imaginations and creativity has taken the game to whole new levels. A place to showcase on the community level where we are at right now in the Spring/Summer of 2006.

HOW to get there? Looking at the Convention Center you will notice everything from cruise ship docks to monorail tracks. As you can also see many main Highways intersect at the Convention center. A major airport is located nearby with monorail service to bus and train terminals and in and around the Convention center complex. So you can get here anyway you want, you can take a plane Jane, you can take a bus Gus, you can take a train, a boat, car or even walk, but the BEST way that I suggest is to just dial up www.rctspace.com on the ol puter and just click on in on opening day. We’ll be waiting to greet you.

So dig out those dusty floppies with RCT1 stuff on it, sort through your best stuff of RCT2, whip your screaming RCT3 projects into shape and get ready to come packing on opening day. We have plenty of room and booths for everyone. Their are rumors of some interesting sideshows and arcade booths and strange "personalities" scheduled to be at this years convention.

It's open for the entire RCT community and there's plenty of room for everyone, so dig out your sandals and shorts and goofy hat and get ready to go to a convention… RCT style!
