Ask the Experts / RCT not working with Win XP

Can anybody help me on this?
when I run the game it says "sorry, not supported on windows NT"
I have Windows XP home edition.
anyone know any patches or some way to sort this, I've tried runing in compatability mode but to no avail.
Anyone know the patch that lets me Play this windows XP (prefureably with a downloadable link)

I looked at that ... didn't help me much, doesent explain how to install RCT1 in windows xp :/

Actually I wonder if you read it. Here is a little quote of what it says:

1.3) When LL is installed, patch it. (No matter if you're on Windows9x/ME/2k/XP)

You might need a different patch though. Not sure which language version of the game you have.

Also there is a problem with the "Gold Pack" (RCT+LL) I think. As far as I know the drexler patch doesn't work with it which means you would not be able to open most of the parks provided here and use trainers.

So get the correct patch (pm posix if the one provided isn't the correct one) and try the guide again. Using it RCT+LL works fine on my computer (also using WinXP).

I don't have loopy landscapes installed though, I've got it on disc but it doesent want to recognise it.

if you do not know how to install a game or application then you will have to search for guides on how to do it yourself on google.com or wikipedia.com
in fact though, it's one of the easiest things to do and you might as well just try it out.

if your disc is not recognised properly by your cd/dvd drive then we can not help you since it's obviously a hardware problem.
as for any other "problem" you have; all of them are covered in the guide richie provided you with.

Ive been having problems playing RCT1 too. Gold Works Very well on Xp ,though
