    That looks amazing..

That has far too many supports. Looks way too cluttered.
  • Corkscrewed%s's Photo
I gotta agree. You need to find the balance between absolute realism and aesthetic look, and you overdid it just slightly there.

    Still, it's awesome effort!

I hope the use of these supports doesn't discourage people from adventurous landscapes.

Isn't that Tatsu? BTW I don't think it looks cluttered at all, that's basically how real coasters look like..

I'd get rid of 2 of the supports on the helix, and space the rest out to make up for the gaps.
  • Metropole%s's Photo
I'd keep it like that, very very good!
  • Todd Lee%s's Photo
I guess I'd mainly get rid of the very bottom support, the one that looks like it's a pole sticking straight up. (because of the angle)

    Overdone? I think not.

wow looking at what you are all doing with these supports makes me think of all the possibilities. Theyre really great and that design by jkay really does sum up the quality of these, great job Toon!

oxide, you'll notice that a B&M invert from 1993 has tons more supports than a contemport flyer. And btw iff that is tatsu its a mirror image of it and doesn't have the right colors.

^ Beat me to it on the Tatsu comment.

You really know your coasters, Travis!
  • geewhzz%s's Photo
Doesn't Tatsu have extra supportage to be prone to earthquakes, just like X?
  • ACEfanatic02%s's Photo
Wow... nice too see I sparked so much controversy.

I know there are too many supports... I was just playing around.

Probably, but in case of X... the trains are a 'little bit' heavier than the usual coaster trains so the forces are a lot heavier on the structure because of that.
More moment has to be handled because of the overhanging seats too.
I'm not suprised the coaster is tearing itself apart.

I masturbate vigorously whenever I see new scenery made by Toon.

    Exactly what I was thinking.

I don't see why they would have to other than laziness...

Haha, well I guess mantis can explain why he said it.

I guess its cause a lot of people will focus on the supports and they will be satasfied with them and just leave it as it is. I think that there are plenty ways to combine both the supports and landscapes. I have a few ideas.

Ah, I can't see that happening.

We haven't lost interest in the landscaping. It's just easier to test the supports on flat ground.
