Im going to the prom soon, I bet one's in England are so much different. We are also having awards this year like (most likely to be seen on crimewatch, nicest girl etc.) Not many people take it that seriously but its just for fun.
Im geting my tux soon and my group of friends are ordering limos for us all. After that we are all going to quite a few parties. Should be good. -

ours was fun. it was at this strange country club in the mountains. about midway through, the fire alarm went off and everyone had to wait outside for twenty minutes. -

Fuck limos. I'm taking my bad-ass Camry.
We're going to take pictures at this place called the Bloodworth Mansion that's almost in the ghetto before we eat. Nicest house in town. -

Why not? The place is amazing, open to pubilc that day and it's not a hassle to go there. Did it last year, and my date and the group that we're going with to eat dinner with all want to too.
We're eating at a local place called Exotic Grill. They do the whole show/make your food in front of you type thing. They only have one show per hour, so we have that part of the restaurant to ourselves. -

prom is for americans .
then again, we have parties that are essentially the same thing, i think. Not as much 'a big deal' though... -

i'm going to prom with a friend of mine, nothing special. should be pretty good, i'm actually going to my hometown's prom rather than my own school's, but they go way over the top with it. everyone walks down a red carpet and the whole freaking town huddles around taking pictures. even though i haven't been, it does seem like just another highschool drama type thing, the prom. we'll see how it goes tho...the semis I've been to this year have kinda sucked... -

Ours were only $20 a piece and the place was pretty good (already went). The girl I went with is pretty much my same age but in terms of restraint we bring out the worst in each other. She wants to go on another date which is all fine and good but I'm not terribly interested but she's like ultra shy so I don't want to crush any future chance of her having self confidence. Dammit, why did I agree to go with her when one of her friends asked?
Anyway I'm sure this will just drag out long enough between dates and really talking to eachother that it'll end...
Anyway Prom itself was overrated. The music was too damn loud and generally shitty (the only un-remixed 'rock' song was "Wonderful Tonight" and it was edited to about 70 seconds). Most of it was loud hip hop which when it comes to my school fails to induce grinding, except out of the people we all know are sluts, which really doesn't make the rest of us want to join in.
At least the location was good, dinner was excellent and it didn't cost me a terribly large amount of money.

Lol, indierock/pop at a dance, that would be novel. Our winter formal, which I didn't attend, had some indie kid DJ it, dancing to Clap Your Hands Say Yeah!? Haha. -

heads would be rolling if that happened at one of our dances.
but yeah, our tickets cost 10 a piece and 25 for juniors who didn't sell their magazines. 2 years ago they were 5. should probably be more. -
