i need help installing the pro tour 2 bench without any glitches... someone needs to write a guide to teach any noobs how to install the bench without messing anything up (starting from when RCT2 is uninstalled)

The PT bench is just a savegame file just as any other parks you saved. Just open it up and it will automatically install all scenery that it has attached to it. After that you can just use the file for creating your own park and if you want to alter the selection just open it up in the scenario editor.

yes, but there are a whole lot of glitches whenever i install it and, even though i think i have fixed them, i think anyone who hasn't done this or is new to the site should be told how...

Do you have to be told how to open a savegame?
There's nothing special to the bench itself, you don't need to install it. I guess your RCT2 is just fucked up. Could you tell exactly how you uninstalled it?

everything is messed up!!!!!! no matter what i do, the glitches are still there!!!!!! After i uninstall the game, delete the folder, reinstall the game, and download the PT2 bench, the game is still completely messed up!!!!! I need helpful info.! anyone who has some please let me know

everyone who came to this site could easily open the pt2 bench without problems. you're the first to have them. in literally years.

so you see the problem lies not in the pt2 bench but in you.
usually you should get hold of it yourself. but you can not. so if you're nice enough maybe we are nice enough too to do favours for you.

for some reason the image won't work right so i can't show you right now... but the scenery in the scenery menu is enlarged a WHOLE lot the cursor gets fuzzy on the right side of the screen, a couple of rides and scenery pieces have been duplicated, and the balloon stall image is distorted in that the balloons have no color in the rides menu (i hope these descriptions will help with the pics since i can't upload any at the moment)

Some of the scenery will do that. It's natural.

don't worry i'm calm, i just can't figure it out... i don't know why this is happening, but it's ok, i am just going to keep the glitches on and not try to fix them...

I think everything is mostly ok, but you obviously don't have a great understanding of how custom made scenery works in the game.

First of all there are different categories of scenery in the game. Go to your scenario editor and start a new scenario from scratch then while in the object selection window click advance. The main two types for the purposes of this explanation are small scenery and large scenery. RCT2 allows 252 small scenery objects and 128 large scenery objects in a scenario. These limits are what led to the 'glitch' you're seeing. When building a workbench/scenario most parkmakers found that the small scenery limit of 252 was the most limiting in terms of getting the scenery they wanted into the park. Therefore many of the small scenery objects that take up a full tile have been converted to a large scenery format in order to free up space for other objects when designing a workbench. The program that allows you to create custom scenery has a small problem in that it doesn't allow you to properly create the image for large scenery objects and the game then shows them as the oversized objects you're seeing. It doesn't affect game play at all and you'll get used to it.

Hope that helps with that 'problem'.

I think you guys are all way off. Im 99% sure your problem is the recolorable wooden banner, have you used that? Remove it and your problem is sloved.

Toon already explained why some scenery looks larger. That's perfectly normal. It's just custom scenery. On a side note, after working on my bench last night, I wouldn't mind if more scenery could appear that way ( ). Not sure about the cursor getting fuzzy though. Never heard of that happening. That could be because of what Kumba is talking about.

That's also probably normal, due to custom scenery. Not sure that the rides should be, but I can imagine how it could happen, so nothing to worry about there either. Plus, how is this a major glitch? It's not like having a few clones of kinds of scenery and rides is a horrible thing.

I know what this one is. In the ride selection menu, the balloon stall has funky colored balloons or something, right? For some reason, that happens when you install custom scenery. I've had that for a while, long before the PT2 bench came along. It's not a problem though. It only appears that way in the selection menu. Once you build the stall, it's normal again. I'm not sure why it happens, though.

Also, this isn't one of the problems you mentioned, but I've noticed there's a certain wooden roof in the PT2 bench that I can't deselect.

yes, thanks for all the help... at first it was a major glitch to me because i had thought that it had messed up my computer a lot... but after i took a closer look i found out it was only what it is... but then later my screen kept flashing from normal colors to fluorescent colors off and on. That was major because then it wouldn't let me play... but that eventually went away... so now i have everything ok... thanx
