And we have a winner of the second-ever Pro Tour at New Element! This year, Phatage took home RCT's richest prize, narrowing edging out second place Corkscrewed by two points! That wasn't the only tight wrangling, as #3-5 saw a total difference of only two points, meaning each entry finished only one point ahead of the previous!

Lets take a look a the top five from this year's contest!

As the judging was revealed, it became apparent that someone was bound to get Grinched. Unfortunately for Steve, it was his beautifully crafted Sea World Brisbane, a gorgeous park reminiscent of the works of Slob, RRP, and even Schuessler. This breathtaking park drips with immaculate atmosphere and realism, and arguably should have scored higher.

The non-parkmaker surprises continued with ride6's Mala-esque Euphoria City, a stunning fantasy world about money and corruption and fanciful red rocks. The landscaping and coasters are absolutely gorgeous, and Euphoria City might very well feature the best woodie of the contest in Crime Lord. Certainly a pleasant surprise.

And yet, perhaps not as surprising as Xcoaster, who became NE's highest finishing non-parkmaker with his incredible DisneyAIR theme park, a wonderfully inventive and meticulously detailed evolution of Disneyland and DisneySea. Full of a multitude of structures, vehicles, and various hacks that really enrich the entire experience, this park establishes Xcoaster as a serious force to be reckon with!

Number 2 belonged to one of the longest-standing parkmakers in the RCT community--ME! Indeed, I, Corkscrewed, brought you into a sick and sadistic world of bloody ritual sacrifice, evil and sinister tyranny, and some pretty nice coasters and landscaping. In pretty much combining elements from my last three QftBX parks, Tierre Mortica presents what many consider the most solid and complete park of the contest.

But while TM was a solid park, it certainly was beatable, and to few people's surprise, it was the imaginative, ingenious Phatage who claimed the gold with Busch Gardens Sydney, a fantastically detailed and complex exercise in Phatage's own brand of realism. Each and every nook and cranny reveals something new and thoughtful, and the scope of such intense devolution to "the little things" is incredible. Be sure to check out the best invert (and arguably best overall coaster) in the contest, Denali, and explore this park from the perspective of a peep. While not flawless, BGS is certainly a worthy winner for our contest!

Congratulations and thanks go out to everyone who participated in the Pro Tour 2, from the final 14 entrants to the qualifying round contestants. Another round of thanks go out to hobbes, who took care of everything behind the scenes to get the pages set up. And of course, the PT2 wouldn't be an actual contest without its judges, so thanks to Toon, Panic, Fatha, Turtle, Natelox, and Iris for taking the time to score 14 diverse and extremely difficult to compare entries. The time needed to assess such quality is definitely appreciated.

And finally, another round of thanks goes out to Iris, the brainchild of this site and of this idea. Without you, we wouldn't have an NE or a Pro Tour (1 or 2). So thank you very much for everything you've put into the site (even though Cork does most the work nowadays... Posted Image ).

And now that that is that... go work on your solos!!!! Posted Image

Did you open this one in RCT2 first? After you open that, you should be able to open any of the PT2 parks.

First you gotta tell me what it feels like to heat tras.... :p

    1. Go here and save the .zip file to your computer by right clicking and choosing "save target as" or "save link as" or whatever the equivalent is on whatever browser you're using.

    2. Open up WinZip

    3. Open the file you just downloaded.

    4. Double click to open the file in RCT 2. It should automatically extract all the scenery into your computer.

4b. If RCT gives you a trapper error before the map actually opens (it should be a big brown empty map), then repeat step 4. Sometimes, it will trapper error for some people. Technically you don't have to repeat the step since the scenery should have been installed, but if you want to be safe, then repeat step 4.

    5. Close RCT 2.

    6. Download DisneyAir by saving the .zip file to your computer using the same process as step 1.

    7. Go to WinZip and open up the DisneyAir .zip file.

    8. Double click to few the park.

8b. Alternatively, you can select the .sv6 file in WinZip and EXTRACT TO your RCT 2 Saved Games folder. In that case, open up RCT 2 and then open up your game.

    9. If you're still experiencing problems, um... make sure you're actually using RCT 2. Or just come back here and cry a bit and someone will be sure to help you out. :)

Yes you should get WinZip. http://www.winzip.com

Don't triple post. Edit your first post.

And you should just be able to double click it. If not, extract to your Saved Games folder.

You totally missed the joke, but it's ok. You're probably 13.
