those arent bad. they could use more contrast, but that's just a personal (and a bruckner) thing. -

i swear! when i print in the darkroom i love low contrast, it's just so hard on the computer! -

That second one kinda reminds me of Sydney in some weird way, although I assume that's somewhere in Canada (you live in Vancouver, right?).
I think the first one might look better cut thinner vertically (ie remove some of the expanse of water), but then again it's also quite good how the water mirrors the sky...
I wish I had the money to buy a proper camera. -

Just get a used camera. The photo store where I live sells refurbished used cameras for around $100-$150. Not a bad price. Granted these are manual film cameras but that's what I prefer anyhow. That second one kinda reminds me of Sydney in some weird way, although I assume that's somewhere in Canada (you live in Vancouver, right?).

Jelly - i'd love to but i'm a poor poor student. Even second-hand stuff is too expensive for me...
Hyperion - that looks vaguely pornographic. -

editing photos is not something to be ashamed of, everyone does it, be it in the darkroom or in photoshop:

Hey guys I got a new (digital) camera. A Fujifilm FinePix S5200. Haven't played around with it yet but it's 5.1 mp and has adjustable film speeds and all kinds of fun things so maybe this will be the digital camera that is both affordable and comparable to a decent manual.
