And everything you can do on a laptop you can do in a recording studio, so don't call me dense.

I purchased a new camera yesturday! Futureshop (Owned by Best Buy) had a really good deal on it; I couldn't resist. Now, if only I had time to take some pictures! I'll be sure to take a lot during my summer break, which starts 28 days from now.

those arent bad. they could use more contrast, but that's just a personal (and a bruckner) thing.

That second one kinda reminds me of Sydney in some weird way, although I assume that's somewhere in Canada (you live in Vancouver, right?).
I think the first one might look better cut thinner vertically (ie remove some of the expanse of water), but then again it's also quite good how the water mirrors the sky...
I wish I had the money to buy a proper camera.

Just get a used camera. The photo store where I live sells refurbished used cameras for around $100-$150. Not a bad price. Granted these are manual film cameras but that's what I prefer anyhow.

Jelly - i'd love to but i'm a poor poor student. Even second-hand stuff is too expensive for me...

Hyperion - that looks vaguely pornographic.

Hey guys I got a new (digital) camera. A Fujifilm FinePix S5200. Haven't played around with it yet but it's 5.1 mp and has adjustable film speeds and all kinds of fun things so maybe this will be the digital camera that is both affordable and comparable to a decent manual.
