Gir, I love your photos. Austin's are great as well. Leon's are too hipster for my likings... -

Did not have a tripod, so I used a fence post. I think it worked out alright. -

I really like this pic I. First thing that strikes is the steel structure. Then you'll notice the graffiti, "leipe shit ouwe", which is some Dutch urban slang that roughly translates to 'fucking awesome'. And then there is the transmission tower graffiti showing its muscles, and all the diagonal shadows. There is actually quite a lot going on in this pic, even though it's a just a straightforward pic of an 'empty' site... Thematically this pic is urban idustrial heritage in a nutshell. These sites are no longer well maintained spaces (=debatable) with prosperous factories, where thousands of people work hard to be able to provide for their families. These places have become a place to hang out for young creative people who superficially appreciate the imperfection and decay. They'd rather comment on the architecture with "fucking awesome" than giving an extensive and deep analysis. And intended or not, the random and fun way in which the transmission tower is portrayed totally matches this view. New superficial appreciation of urban industrial heritage.
(Sorry for the almost kafkaesque analysis of this pic. In the end I took the picture just because I thought it looked pretty.) -

I made a funny photo set on FlickR today including pictures I took under the slogan 'Venezia senza la gente' whicht means Venice without people. Was a lot of fun to photograph all the tourist attractions and streets without any tourists making Venice look deserted and dull:

Have fun!

Considering this was shot with the 3DS's 0.3-MP camera, I'm pretty pleased with this.
@Leon, not really a fan. That bloom makes my eyes hurt.

I'm more just a dude with a camera than a photographer, but I think I've taken some cool stuff over the past few years.

The rest of my pictures from this trip were terrible because it was my first time using my DSLR and only had the stock 18-55m Canon lens. I now have a better camera and a host of nice prime lenses.

2 minutes of googling led me to his photography website. He's legit. Do some research before you shoot down his credibility, please.
