some shots for our photo module. I didn't really enjoy it, since they cram about 5-6 weeks of info into one and a half.

Went to the zoo today with my girlfriend, and I was really surpised to see the Lions being outdoor (it is snowing a lot here and it is freezing), but here are some pictures (made with a cellphone)
My favorite, she was 3 ft / 1 m away from me, only a window with glass in between.
Hope you enjoy them . -

Nice, strange though to see a lion and all that snow in the same pic, can they really live in such environments? Considering they're probably used to 35 more celsius degrees and savannahs... -

Did you try to take pictures of lions or did you try to take nice pictures?

That is the question I asked myself too Splitvision, when I saw that. But they do can survive in this temperature, I spoke with 2 of the zookeepers, and they explained to me that the Lions have a good protection against the cold (their skin keeps the cold outside) and that their shelters are made that they are out of the wind during the nights.
Liampie, what is your point? I think they are nice and that they belong in here, because I really like the composition of the lions. Next time think again before posting, most of the time people don't share the same opinion. -

interesting pics cena, and actually decent quality for being taken with a cell phone.
liampie, that's just unnecessary. -

Why don't you leave being a dick to the professionals, okay?Did you try to take pictures of lions or did you try to take nice pictures?

I'm just giving my opinion, admittedly harsh though...
I think the pictures don't look like Cena was trying very hard. Tilted horizon, bad angles, bad lighting, bad compositions, not quite sharp and even objects cut off (last picture).
If he just wants to take picture of a lion, that's really no problem; I take lots of ugly pictures myself too. However this topic is about photography; the art of 'recording light' as nice as possible.
