Not really pro in the least bit... but I like seeing Main Street empty in the morning like that. Took it RIGHT after they shut the lights off at 6:45AM yesterday morning heading to Indy.
Cell phone, of course. -

I'm fairly new at this; haven't taken any classes or anything. Just get lucky sometimes...
Tree at Mount Vernon
That a waterfall thats about a 30 minute hike from my backyard.
View of the Washington Mall from the top of the Capitol Dome. (Hehehe... It was a little hazy that day, but it was still freakin' awesome!)
I've got some more random pics from trips, hikes and the such that I'll probably post later.Edited by Jampri, 11 February 2007 - 10:18 PM.

That waterfall is pretty good. I wish there were such waterfalls in the area where I live.
Next time you take a picture of a waterfall, try a longer exposure time. That should give the water more dynamic. (Well, it might be hard to get a tripod in there, but I bet it would be worth the effort.) And please get rid of the ugly boarder lines. Black would be ok, though I think the picture doesn't need it, but with those edges left out, it looks sort of strange.
Oops. Just had a look at the exif data. Might be a bit tricky to do that with a Pentax Optio S40.
Well I am still waiting for my D50, but it is just 10 days away from my hands. *yay* -

Haha yeah. I'll get rid of the border. Those pics were taken on my old camera late last year. I got a new one for christmas, a 10 megapixel Pentax Optio A20. Its been pretty hard to find things this winter to get good pics of, but once I do, I'll post them.
By the way, how did you find out what camera I was using? Thats kinda cool... -

There is this small glass sphere on my desk, you know.
Well not really. As I already said, exif data. With every picture you take some information are stored, like exposure time, focal length, flash, iso, ... . There are certain tools that can read the exif information. I think adobe photoshop 7 should be able to do that. At least it can do a lot more than adding black borders.
I am using Opanda PowerExif at the moment, but as mentioned above, good picture editing software should be able to do that aswell.
Something funny I just found out is that gir might by using an Olympus X250. (If not it is the D560Z or C350Z.) -

^ Yep, the D560Z actually. If you have Windows XP it's as easy as going into the picture's properties and switching to the summary tab. Make sure you're looking at the advanced summary. -

man that first shot reminds me of that one level in donkey kong country (possibly 2) where you're flying around the level on the bird through all the thorns and shit. that game was awesome.
i also quite like the last shot you have there.
