Not to rain of chapelz' parade, but that photograph doesn't do anything for me.
Mantis, yes, the same Coal Harbour. Many of the rides in that park were named for apartment buildings in the area. It was, as most of my parks are, not intended to look like the actual location. I just like the name. -

That doesn't mean it isn't great. -

BUMP!
So here are a few more shots taken with my digital. The first set is from a recent Slip concert last week. My first time trying to get concert lighting to work with me, not against me. Mostly shit results but like any concert photo album there are a few winners in there.
And here are some from a hike up Mt. Elmore I took two weeks ago.

From a recent trip to Niagara Falls and Canada:
Looking out over the Niagara River gorge.
We backtracked down a side trail to the power station... this gadget was on top of the pump block.
Looking out to the same set of bridges.
The main building.
Montreal:
Streetscape. Lots of modern/brutalist buildings in downtown.
More streetscapes, and more modernism. Montreal doesn't have a very diverse architectural style...
Brutalist apartments.

Pinhole cameras are the best for that ghosty type shit. Too bad they're impossible to make well. -

Bringing this one back up again ...
Last weekend I've been at home and found something really interesting ... a Nikon FE + 50mm f1.8 + 80-200 f3,5-4
This one must be at least 25 years old. A friend told me it was the first compact SLR made by Nikon and was produced until 1983.
I remember seeing it for the last time when I was about 10, which would be 9 years ago. So I tested it yesterday for the first time and it seems to work. Even the batteries still have power which confuses me slightly. Next is to get a film and wait for some better weather in order to take some photos ... Hopefully it will work our like I imagine. Too bad analog photography is pretty expensive.
As I am getting into this subject quite a bit at the moment and lots of friends are having good cameras with which I am playing around all the time I am thinking about getting a Nikon D50 and the Nikkor 18-55mm and 55-200mm lens used from a friend who wants to buy a new and better one. Anyone using a Nikon or any suggestion to go with a different Camera? I definitely want to be able to use lenses made for Nikon Cameras as that would make it possible to borrow lenses from friends. Suggestions? -

I use the D50 and love it if you want some samples of it just check out cjour.deviantart.com or hit me up on AIM for unaltered full size pictures. -

A few photographs from today taken at Lynn Canyon Park which is roughly 10 mins from my apartment by car. We received quite a bit of snow over the past week and it made for nice conditions.
I love the colour in this one. It looks like it was edited but it is all natural.

Wow those are awsome.
I've really gotten in to photography in the past couple of months. Here are some shots I took at work back in October:

Yeah the shadows in that second pic really add to it.
Nate, those first two pictures are immense. Natural too? Wow. -
