Ask the Experts / VERY BIG PROBLEM

    Hello there.

    I've got following problem.

    When I install RCT1 it says at the end of the installation: de-installation file could not be installed in your Windows directory.

    Anyone out there who can help me out.

    40 Gb Western Digital

    Problem seems to be really huge. The title even had to be capitalized.

    Did you try posix's installation guide. You will find it pinned here in the Ask the Experts forum.
    If that doesn't work I really don't know how to help.

    hmm, it seems as if the user account for windows you were using to install rct1 has no rights to edit the system registry.
    so you might ask someone who has the administrator login (your parents, i suppose) to log in so that it lets you install.

    however, are you sure it's not working just without the deinstallation file? or does the installation corrupt after the error message?
