If you call teaching chess voluntarily at a library on weekends without any sort of salary a job then I have one. Unfortunately I'm not experienced enough to make a career out of teaching chess.Edited by Xenon, 15 March 2006 - 09:41 PM.

Funny they did offer me an editor spot, and I turned it down due to my grammer. I am consitered a pretty good writer by most of the staff, but yeah Microsofts spell check saves my ass all the time. -

I work at a SuperTarget. If you don't know what that is, it's just a bigger, suped-up Target with a grocery store (Archer Farms Grocery) attached to it. I work many positions in the store, but I was hired as a cart attendant. I'm that guy that gets those carts in for people. I also cashier and I work at Guest Services whenever they need someone. I also work in the food court, Food Ave., and sometimes I work as the Guest Service Team Lead, which is basically the front-end manager. I also work on the salesfloor too.
Most people hate to work, but I like to and it's nice. I can't wait to start workin' my 40-hour death weeks in the summer. It should be fun...
And I was soooo going to post this same exact topic last night.
But I forgot... Lol.
So, yeah.Edited by Drew, 15 March 2006 - 10:51 PM.

Funny how jobs paying $8.50/hr in Cali pay $5.50/hr in Cleveland. We just hired someone that went to UC Berkley and he asked to start at $9/hr...
I'm still at a movie theatre. Pretty mindless job, but I don't have much school left. Hopefully some of you will be at amusement parks riding my designs in 5 years. -

I'm working for the postal services here on saturdays. Doesn't pay to bad with 8 euro per hours, however they don't pay me enough concerning the amount of hours. Miss out one hour every week on my actual worktime... Trying to get that fixed though.
And I had an easy job at the last election here. One month salary for just explaining to people how the voting machine works and pushing the release button of it -

I work for "the world's leading provider of cleaning, food safety and health protection products and services for the hospitality, foodservice, healthcare and industrial markets."
But I work on the helpdesk, so it could be a candy factory and I'd still be doing the same thing. Basically I talk on the phone to our company's employees who are having problems with their computers.
And of course by night I transform from a mild-mannered computer geek into cBass, the rockstar keyboard player. -

Apart from college, I am a semi-professional poker player, and a snake robotics researcher at the CMU biorobotics lab. We just got back from Texas. -

But now im doing what i wanted to, training to be a car mechanic. Not too good pay, but at least i enjoy what im doing. Getting paid to learn is the best way to look at it. -

Starting up at Fry's Electronics again (last summer's job, too) as an Audio Sales Associate. $6.50/hr with commission is not bad at all - especially since most people get around $200 a week just from commission and then the $260 from 40 hrs. So, after taxes, I guess it'd be around $400/week, I guess (?).
This will also help my major change from mechanical engineering (coaster design) to theatre (specialized in sound). I'm hoping the BFA will give me a wider area of career venues (movies, media, concerts, ect), plus I've already got over 800 hrs of technical experience in the theatre and am a member of ITS, so hopefull this change will be more encouraging and beneficial to my life.
Oh, and I have four 12's in my trunk, so, sound is also a hobby, as well. -

Is four 12's really necessary? Especially in a truck... My one 10" rattles the shit out of my car... -

Not really, but there was a deal way back when and I originally had two, but then I got two more (good deal) b/c they were better. I'd really like 3 power acoustik FUBR 10's in a custom box w/ around 2000W and at least 200 amperes, but I'm undecided upon which brand to shoot for. I'm pretty sure I'm looking at MTX, Polk, or Power Acoustik, but I haven't been around them as much, so, I'm stuck. Oh, and yes, a 2 Farad cap. Maybe some LED's for glow in the trunk as well.
