Random update cos i was bored #1


I don't know where the idea came from, but i thought of all the cool stuff that could be done with dodgem cars, and then it came to me, dodgem football! Its such an amazingly simple idea, so i guess its been done before somewhere else, but to me, its an original idea so yay!



Dodgem football is the parks latest attraction and is situated near the entrance, basically in this screen you can see many cool little stuff. It is a 5-a-side game and is sponsored by Ladbrokes betting association, bets can be made for official celebrity matches and events that are organised frequently! It is a great crowd puller and provides fun for all the family, the motorised dodgems are the perfect way to get competative inside a theme park and show off your football skills with a dodgem car! The attraction is free and becoming very popular, being the first thing that greets you coming out of the Main Street section of the entrance. Each game lasts 16mins (with a half time), and there are 10 cars which hold 2 people a car (switch drivers at half time).
There are five teams available, Man utd, Chelsea, Newcastle, Arsenal and Wolves The teams playing each other are decided upon at the beginning of the day, and at night the 25 dodgems are kept in the shed behind the stadium structure. The ride is disabled friendly, with access ramps at the entrance of the queue. The queue-line TV's in this case show previous football matches played on the facility.

If anyone wishes to use this idea in their parks, be my guest, it would be great to see this idea used in all/most rct parks from now on. If you want the ball object, contact Kumba -( thanks man).

So, boreing... Where's the ref? the tolit paper? the naked streakers? and if they are playing "Football" why is each side the same color when you can paint them so it looks mixed like they are playing vs. each other :' />

First impression, technically excellent, but not entirely aesthetically pleasing. I love the idea behind the ride and you've really done good at executing it. The playing field and walkways are flawless imo. The red/blue color scheme is perfect here and really locks in the "competitive atmosphere" required for this attraction.

My only pick is that the stadium looks under-scaled for RCT imo, almost as if those stairs are too steep. You have created a good viewing area for an audience, but it could be better imo. Expanding on the stadium would be nice imo, but you obviously can't with that brick building behind.

But, geez! If you keep up this quality, you've got an instant spotlight on your hands, imo.

I would put the ball and midfield... Cuz before kickoff, each team needs to remain on their side of the field, and since the cars aren't moving, they shouldn't look like they are playing...

No, never ever seen before yet. beautiful field and walkways. I do agree with JKay though that the viewing area somehow looks slightly too steep, although if you really compare it to the RCT -peep-sizes (many objects in RCt in fact are over-sized!) it is believable. A small flat piece somewhere in the steps would not hurt though, like there always is here and there in reality too, although you hardly see that from farther away.

All in all: excellent idea and very nice execution!

(btw: in a current park I also made a variation on your hacked bumpers, thanks for the idea(!), maybe I'll place a screen of it later)

Amazing. I don't like how the stands are so steep - seems cartoonish for some reason. But the idea is brilliant.

Anyways, I think you did it about perfectly. I'm guessing people get on and off the ride through the rope fences, right? Which in here I guess would be chain fences. How did you get the pattern on the field? Also, how do the dodgem cars get into the building? Do you have to move some of the stand out of the way first? This is certainly fantastic work. I'm really looking forward to this (still).

Cool idea. I want to go to Europa park even more. It's still an awesome idea.

I hate your creativity, Simon. This gets better and better, and with this effortless ingenius fun thrown in, I'm feeling quite inferior.

The stadium works well, actually. If this was real life, it WOULD be underscaled, so I think you've blended the realistic-sim nature of the park with a model-nature very well. Keep it up, Mr. Master Custom Bumper Cars Ride Creator Guy!

Love the idea... and seems very resonable for guest to enjoy this attraction. The stadium is steep but still, i think it is resonable and still looks good though.
