General Chat / Rides 2006

Well, the new season is coming up in a few months and a lot of new stuff is being build so what are the new rides anyone is looking forward to.

My 1st one is the "De Vliegende Hollander" (Flying Dutchman) which is a darkride with a short watercoaster section. It's shaping up very well.

The second one the new B&M in Phantasia Land: Black Mamba. It looks like that Nemesis finally gets a true brother that shares it's style rather than only it's name.

Not really one I've been waiting for since it's a bit too far away, but it seems that X is no longer the only 4D anymore (rumors are confirmed now):

I've been following the construction of Black Mamba and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and I must say they are the most anticipated rides for a long time IMO. Stealth looks OK but nothing out of the ordinary, the other rides dont really wow me but look like good additions.

Tatsu also looks like it will be beyond words but Im not sure if thats an 06 ride?

The Voyage at Holiday World and Kentucky Rumbler at Beech Bend.

I'm going to have to say Voyage, Tatsu, Black Mamba, Expedition Everest, and that new tower at silverwood, because that's the only one I'll probably get to ride.

The only one I'm pretty sure I'll get to ride is Tatsu. Aside from that, The Voyage, the new 4D, El Toro, Expedition Everest and Kentucky Rumbler all look nice (except for the 4D, which I know nothing about, aside from being a 4D). Those are the only ones that come to mind right now, but I'm sure there are more. Maybe I'll add more later if I think of more. Maybe not.

And yeah, Tatsu is 2006. It's planned for a spring opening.

Some more that I'm interested in: Patriot (only because I like Talon) and Thunderbird (GCI, yay). Like I said, it's very unlikely I'll make it to any of these, and there are still some from 04 and 05 I'd really like to ride.

Monster's ain't that great... it's a lot better than SSL, but nothing to be anxious about.
