You know another problem with a large loop mite be scale. To fit everything in some stuff mite need to be scaled down, not sure if that was consitered when you built that tho.
And I sould know better then to debate cobra rolls with you Phatage, you so busted me -

That's what I was trying to say back in my post. Raptor is scaled down a LOT. It is only about 95ft in height, and if I add a large loop in at the lowest point it's 85ft i believe. It makes it over, but not with the speed I'd like it too. The smaller loop fits perfect with the scaling of the ride.
So now you guys have my head all confused telling me to add a large loopEdited by geewhzz, 16 January 2006 - 08:30 PM.

This is quality work, the last few screens especially.
Personally, I think it looks good with the smaller inversions, and if it has better flow that way, I would keep it that way.
But as Turtle said, it's your park. You're building it, not us.
Anyway, I love what you've done so far. Well done recreations are a rarity. Makes me want to restart my ParkWars entry...

Geewhizz convinced me to start up on my SFMM recreation. So I will be doing that again but Im not promising any close release date of it. Him and I are going to release our parks at the same time but I am still going to hustle on it.
In September I started working on a SFMM recreation and shortly after gave it up. Here was a pic of what I had started. NOTE THAT I WILL BE STARTING FROM SCRATCH. It will be better then this screen the second time around I make it.

I think it's okay to post your screen, SupremeScreamer, since this seems to be like a bit of a group effort. If you two guys want to share a topic I'll make the needed changes to the title. If not, then thats okay too. -

i love this park. realism is a big key. as for raptor, the big loop will look good but the way you have it now looks fantistic. keep it up man. -

Awesome Supreme Screamer! I remember you announcing this on RCPro a while back, but that was the end of it. I would love to see what it looks like when its done. Your an awesome realistic park maker!
Oh and I have a quick question Geewhz. This is going to be one or two maps? Sorry if it says it anywhere. -

I was recently looking at this and noticed I never spoke my mind about it.
I really like this screen, It has a great atmosphere to it. But on the supports, please change the flange color to the color of the supports, as the real coaster is like that. And maybe as like a creative, humorous, and realistic touch, try painting a few tops of supports white, like the seagull shit. I think that would add a nice touch.

Good suggestion Chiller. I wasn't sure about the color on the flanged supports, I decided on an alternate green to give a little diversity to the supports.
I will see how it looks with the same colors, and the white tops for the "bird crap" affect.
Also, when I go back into SE, I'm gonna grabhold of the flipped flanged pipe piece to use at the base, so it makes the supports look bolted onto the 1/4 gray footer....I think that will be a nice touch also.
Thanks for the advice.
Edit:
BTW Chiller, love the avatar, saw that episode for the first time the other night, lol.Edited by geewhzz, 20 January 2006 - 09:23 PM.

well done on the ice cream thing..if thats the building i think it is, i recall it in particulary excruciating detail.
good luck trying to make that ridiculously boring path section from MF back towards the river rapids and such.
oh, and i'd say small loop on raptor. take a look at the pic phatage posted, and compare the scale of the loop to the train. if you take a small loop in RCT, the train takes up only slightly more of the top half of the loop. you see what i'm saying? the small loop seems to be a more accurate scaling.
besides, raptor is early B&M, they didn't have ginormous loops quite yet. just your average better-than-arrow loops. -

Here is a little update with the Raptor stats:
Most of the area around Raptor is fully themed except for some portions around the Cobra Roll. They could possibly change the stats a tad.
Status on my park is Blue Streak being for the most part completely done along with some of the marina started and on the other side of the midway, the new games section is complete and all of the food sections near Space Spiral & Disaster Transport. I expect to start work on Disaster Transport soon. Construction is progressing very smoothly and at a rapid pace. The new semester just started @ college so I'm not sure how much time I will have to work on it. Still shooting for May 6th, 2006, CP opening day to release my park.
I'm holding off on anymore teasers untill SupremeScreamer gets caught up on his SFMM recreation, so we can hype them together. Ground broke just the other day on his recreation.

That's one hell of a flow there if you have it going through that small loop at 53 mph. -

I'd be VERY impressed if you can pull this off. Two huge maps worth at the kind of quality level of these last screens will certainly take a good long while. And if you really can get it done that fast... then wow. That's impressive. -

I found a link to a zip full of Greg Reese's old parks including Cedar Point 2000 if anyone wants them.
They're hosted @ Coaster Ed's site I believe.

Enjoy em!
