    Just curious...
Are you going to make a custom ferris wheel there? Because the ferris wheel in the game is alot smaller than the one at the park, and it may throw things out of proportion.

    Fantastic work geewhzz.
    I'm loving this recreation. :D

Wow, I'm suprised you guys like it that much...the supportage I need to do some custom objects for to get it to where I want it...

I'm using a regular in game ferris wheel right now. I'm not sure what to do with it really. I mean some things can't be in perfect perportion...but I'd like to have as many working rides as possible, because after I'm done I want to modify it to be a working version with peeps. A park isn't the same unless you can see the peeps flock to the big rides like the real thing. I will probably decide later.

That looks amazing! Never been to CP, in the process of planning a quick 5-day trip out to Ohio for CP/GL/Paramount later this year and yeah... can't wait, especially with seeing a recreation like this in the works.

How far along are you now/any guestimate on a completion date?

That's how I envisioned the stadium in my PT park. Only Corky didn't include the diagonal pieces I wanted. :[

    Very nice, though.
  • geewhzz%s's Photo
The stadium was TOUGH. I build the overhangs first and the outside, and then went inside to design the archways/seating areas and finished it up to make it look good all around. then I built the pool with the diving area.

I wouldn't expect this to be completed for another 6 or 7 months.

I am almost finished with map1 though, so I will probably be doing what Kumba did and have 1 or 2 people review it when it's 50% done.

I wouldn't be disappointed with your stadium Steve, it was a highlight of the park, and I'm a sucker for good track-itecture (happy Corky...I used your word :) ).

As for the screen, it's definitely my favourite so far. I'm not the biggest fan of realistic recreations, but as far as they go, this looks very well done so far and I hope you finish. Nice work!

Nice to see all the progress you're making. Great screen, especially with seeing the screen that you used for reference as posted by chillerhockey. I have only two suggestions, and I'll start with the easy. The supports are very good and accurate, but I feel that you can do a little more when it comes to those supports that come in direct contact with the track. The probably much harder one is that the station seems a little too elevated, and even though I haven't ridden WT since it opened in 02 I don't remember it being that high.
  • geewhzz%s's Photo
I mentioned that was was going to do a little something more to the supports. I'm going to make custom poles to go from the crossbeams to connect with the track.

It is a *bit* too high I think, but I tried to make it as much like the real thing as possible, here is a good side shot of the ride; (copy and paste into your browser) http://www.thepointo...ages/jwt002.jpg

Wow that screen is so realistic to what it should be, spot on to the pic. I love what you are doing with this, looks like the best Cedar Point recreation I've ever seen using this game, keep it up! :)

Hey, you're forgetting all the flags and the WT logo on the pavement! Make sure you get those in there because they matter!

The building and the ride itself looks perfect though, including the Que. Beautiful, takes me back there, or forward now... Only 2 more months. (I'll be there on physics day with the rest of my class) :D :D :D.

    :D :D :D Thanks for the reminder of such good times... :D :D :D

    geewhzz?

    I love this park. :bandit:

  I think this may very well be the best recreation to come from any park maker who plays the game. Very well done, and knowing how Cedar Point looks like very well, I say again, very well done. I was wondering if you had any pics of your Blue Streak recreation, and how does the Demon Drop look like? I'm curious about the DD.

Sorry guys, real life has been getting to me and now I'm in the middle of finals at school.

hopefully this summer I can get to working on it a bit more, but possibly not since I got drafted for h2h.

We'll see, I'm going to Cedar Point this Saturday for opening day, so i'm sure i'll be inspired when I come back :)

I might post a screen later that I havn't shown off before...stay tuned!
