Yeah, I don't let anyone touch mine and it never comes out of that case it came with. I've maybe touched it twice.

Oh, and Geoff, you really seemed like a Sevens kind of guy.

Interesting. Can you vouch for its effectiveness?

Bruckner- The thing with most cases is that it kind of negates the whole smallness thing that the iPod has going for it. And they make the iPod look less good. I do have a leather case that I completely forgot about, that was made for 4th gen iPods and didn't quite fit my old 3rd gen iPod, and it fits the new one better except that it cuts off the edges of the screen.

    Things to buy:
    iPod cleaning stuff
    noise-canceling headphones
    a nice case

I use the one it came with, you know, the case that is like 1/64 of an inch thick?. As for headphones, don't get noise-canceling, go with some nice open air Senhesiers (sp?) I've got a par of HD500s and they are very nice.

The fact that the MSRP on the official Sennheiser website says "Not avail." makes me thing it's likely out of my price range, but I'll check up on it further.

In regards to the case: I've been using that, but I have to take it out to change tracks or admire the pretty color screen or whatever. It does work for carrying the iPod in your pocket though. Should have used that today I guess.

I have a nice pair of sevens. But I'll wear my true religions over them any day.

Alright, enough with the jeans :D

And, since you guys are talking about noise cancelling headphones... which ones should I get? I want to drown out the surrounding world, and still be comfortable. I was looking at the Sony MDR-NC50's but they're a little expensive for headphones. Can open ear headphones be effective on a plane ride?

Oh, to Jellybones: I can't vouch for the effectiveness of ipodcleaner. I really want it though.

Lol, you do seem like a TR person, too bad the inseam is fucking horrible; but really, besides that I really like them. Anyways. :) Diesel blows them all away.

Open air headphones let more or less let others around you hear what you are listening to, but the sound quality is superior. Noise cancleing headphones drown out certain freqs and that is about all.

Jelly, Sens aren't that expensive, you can get a great pair HD475 for like 40-50 bucks? But, I recommend investing in a nice pair as they will last you.

Anyways, I finally got home after one locksmith and a box of pizza, I guess I can list off what I got. Here goes(in no order):
-These pillow cases my Mom made out of this insanely amazing Italian Cotton (they feel like silk).
    -Nalgene bottle, red.

-REALLY AWSOME ROBOT FROM JAPAN OMGOMGOMG (Pictures soon).
    -Book: Eldest
-Book: How to Solve sodoku (dad is trying to get me into these :()
-Book: Memories of My Melancholy Whores
    -Book: The Trouble with Poetry

^ See, I don't want other people to hear what I'm listening too. I hate it when I hear music coming from somebody's headphones... fucking irritating. I want to spare the surrounding strangers. Anyway, listening to my ipod is a solitary event--just a one on one.
